A typical day involves many different tasks and sometimes a fast paced environment.  Co-workers are all friendly, professional and approachable.  I have learned many valuable skills since being hired as a Filing Clerk in January 2004 and have been able to move within different positions within the organization.  The hardest part of the job would be when clients pass away, which unfortunately does occur due to the complex disabilities some of the clients have.  The most enjoyable part is knowing I am a part of assisting clients and their families who face many challenges.  Its also very rewarding to see these kids/youth progress.
In early 2017 ErinoakKids will be relocating to three brand new sites (we currently have several smaller sites) in Brampton, Oakville and Mississauga.  My department will be going to the Brampton site which will sadly be too far for me to drive to.

Working in a great setting, close to home, working with serving the community children with special needs. Salary was good with benefits.  Government funding so always changes within the company.

Very busy and time consuming employment.  Very dedicated management team, very professional agency.  The most challenging part of my employment at this agency was time constraints.  The most enjoyable part of this job was the children.

Depending on the department you are hired for, Management team can be helpful and understanding. Team members/coworkers are a great group of folks to work with per my experience with over a decade with the company in the past.

The workplace offers a friendly staff environment and competitive salaries. However, poor management and irresponsible supervisors significantly impact the overall experience and may lead employees to consider leaving.

Using IBI, Erinoakkids teaches children with autisim spectrum disorder skills in all aspects of life. Based on ABA therapy. Training is provided.

Solid job to work while in school. Best part of the job was working with the kids. It was difficult working with the school staff at times as there curriculum may not match the child's needs in that moment 

Most enjoyable part of the job is seeing our clients succeed and seeing the proud smiles on our families faces. New staff are thoroughly trained, and are supported.

Don't care about loyalty and the safety of the clients. Their performance is getting worse. It's a business  now and the clients are not important anymore. Not even having qualified people to work with them.

The kids were super fun and easy to get along with. Staff is very kind as well and easy to get settled as a volunteer. Steady work that won't seem like work.
