The latitude they used to give to complete work and manage your own schedule was a main benefit of the position as it was work from home for last 5 years. The pay is low 70’s so the savings in gas and transportation helped to balance the inflation increase. However now they are enforcing the mandate to return hybrid to office at 3 days weekly. This will have most of us who drive on roads 3 to 4 hours in addition to our work time. And work life balance as a result out the door.

Excellent environment for growing your technical skills, especially as a junior developer.
Benefits and remote work were great, though pay was less than the private sector. It's unfortunately a bit of a revolving door of employees , even during my relatively short contract.
Overall a strong environment to work, especially if you're beginning your IT career.

This job is so exhausting, receiving calls and answering them with a fear that someone is listening to your each word and have no idea when is your last day. Depending how arrogant your BEA is. This job is not for those who can work more efficiently if no one is watching you and you deliver good results. 

i have worked at ESDC multiple times over the last 5 years. it is a huge dept with lots of opportunity, but unfortunately with that comes endless bureaucracy. i was lucky enough to have a good supportive manager and director. that is key. 

Great pay horrible management. They pay a really good amount and their is a variety of things to do which makes it seem that it is a good job. However managers are very rude and will Harrass you in different ways. 

Good opportunity to apply skills and knowledge.  Opportunity to team build and mentor employees.  Opportunity for continuous improvement and knowledge transfer for project management.

ESDC was my Client company.

An amazing place for anyone to work who values work life balance.  Very supportive management and upper management.  I always feel supported in both work and personal goals.
