I've been working with EVOLVsolar for a while now. There will always be a few stressful days, but the support of coworkers and management make a substantial difference. The energy around the office is fantastic and we're all comfortable enough with eachother to have fun. We always celebrate the little victories, it really feels like a team working towards a common goal. Points of friction are always easily resolved because of the communicative team environment. 

Not a day goes by where I don't learn something new, ranging from small improvements to major tasks. The management is extremely willing to share their knowledge and work with me until I'm comfortable. 

Being a part of a rapidly growing company, in a rapidly growing industry is exhilarating and the potential for opportunity is always there. That can also mean hard work, long hours, and stressful situations, but the support is always there. 

Workplace culture is a major focus of the management, and they are always engaged in ways to preserve and improve what makes it such a fun place to work. 

I have primarily been a commercial electrician for 20 years in YYC. I have worked with many big and small companies, many projects, 1000's of tradesmen and a 1/2 dozen tradeswomen. 

EvolvSolar is by far the top 3 companies I have worked with. There is endless overtime and endless money to be made. To make the same anywhere else, you would have to go north.

EvolvSolar stay's up-to-date with the PV technology and educates their employees well on products and technique. 

EvolvSolar also maintains a high level of workmanship and quality. Which is great for those who take pride in their work.

Both Admin and Field crew are great to work with. (positive and productive)

Owners go above and beyond for their employees.  

In conclusion, I had been a Solar Installer/Crew Leader for 14 months. (2 full yyc winters). One of the best years I had on paper, was with EvolvSolar. If you want to make money and pursue the solar route, go with EvolvSolar!

I’m not much for reviews, but what I can say is that there’s a lot of great people that work for this company and it’s this an excitement to show up every day for work. I learned very much get tasked  with different criteria of the job every day!  It’s very nice to finish multiple jobs a shift and seen the gratification of the customers face when it’s all done. The staff is friendly and willing to help you out Whenever you need it. I’ve never felt like a number to this company, which is awesome!   

I have spent over a decade in various business development roles, at most of these past companies there were some severe issues with micromanagement and being recognized as more than just a number.

In the past 20 months at EVOLV, it has been the complete opposite, work life balance is amazing, fair compensation, good benefits and most importantly everyone in the company has a voice and is always appreciated!

Great opportunity to join a stable growing company in a booming industry, plenty of room for career advancement.

From the start of the day to the end the communication with the team and support provided is exceptional.  At all levels there are resources and team members in place to assist through some of the most unique and interesting challenges.  It is a great company to work for if you want to be able to prove your skills and take on new responsibilities.  

What we do for a living is important, and it's nice being in the solar industry bringing these projects to our customers - but, at the end of the day, it's all about the people you work with and our company works really hard to hire the right people and make sure everyone is treated with respect, from the management team to the installers and everyone in between.  Unlike my last job, every day I look forward to going to work and meeting up with my friends to do cool stuff for the world.

I chose EVOLV after moving from a similar position in a different country because of the values, the track record of growth, and the people.

Safe to say I have not been disappointed. The work is challenging but fulfilling and the company has great values and culture. Management is supportive of your work and of you as a person.

Toxic work environment, low pay and refusal of compensation owed. Will expect long hours with no overtime. Ownership has very little knowledge of the industry causing many issues with both power companies and cities. What they tell you in the interview compared with what they'll expect are night and day.
