If you are at a stage in life where you can dedicate hours of overtime each day to meet deadlines then you can go very far at EY. If you cannot make this commitment, then think twice before jumping in to a busy cycle of casework. There is an opportunity to work from home on some days which is helpful. However, expect to spend at least 3 hours each weekend to maintain the work load. When heavy seasons hit 12 hour work days are not uncommon. 

Training was not scheduled and provided upfront but employees were helpful, despite their busy schedules once you cultivated relationships and asked for training.

Terrible onboarding experience with absolutely no training. No support or training thereafter. No work-life balance. I think this mostly depends on what team you end up on and who your managers and senior managers are. My personal experience is highly negative.

Extremely disorganized work place. Poor work life balance. Toxic work environment. They are constantly hiring and if that says anything you know it is a red flag. Pay very poor compared to US law firms and limited growth. Exchange rates make pay even worse.

I was there for a while and I hated it tremendously. The management in the immigration law sector was so bad. Horrible working culture but fantastic benefits. 

A very good company to begin your career. Salary and benefits are good, though work life balance is a little strangulated. The partner of my team, and HR were amazing people who try to help in every aspect they can.

Excellent working environment that respects inclusiveness, diversity and work life balance whilst encouraging career progression. Encourages effective teaming.

Not supportive to employees from other culture. I could see the difference in how people from Canada or US were treated rather than new immigrants. Manager would not answer emails and at blame that the job is not done.

Fast-paced and challenging work, but very collaborative and innovative culture. Strong mentorship and training for new attorneys. Opportunity for growth and advancement.

It is a large firm with good benefits. It wants you to gain experience. It has many work functions. It has a rewards program. It has flexible hours and an extended vacation program.
