The culture at Eassons is fantastic, the management team is knowledgeable with years of experience. They've walked the walk and put in their time with the company and understand how the industry operates. 

The upper management at the maintenance facilities have years of experience and they're always willing to work towards a solution that satisfies both you and the company. Every opportunity is presented to you to improve and grow your skillset, while not micro-managing your work and allowing you to make mistakes/learn on your own. 

From the CEO on down, everyone makes time to hear your concerns/issues and will make time for you. Upper management knows you by name and respects your opinions/ideas on ways to improve processes. 

When I started with the company, it was great but rapid growth by purchasing other companies has limited equipment purchases. Used to be equipment was never more than a few years old. Now, you pray you'll make it home without a breakdown.  Retirements have seen people promoted into upper management positions that have no clue what they're doing.  It's now the blind leading the blind.  Lots of smiles and handshakes but nothing to improve driver retention. More focused on offshore recruitment and sending recruiting team on fancy trips. Lack of contracts have planners scrambling to keep trucks moving. Sitting or driving empty is very common.  Driver creature comforts are unimportant to Management.  Industry practices are frowned upon because Management is using stats from the '80s.

How, my experiences was with Easson!

When I first started driving for this company, they were showing/ caring for their employees, but on the other hand they would want you to do the unexpected, that where the communication would it a like mind bottling! (As for the people were great)but I think it for a younger generation. Myself I felt like I was know part of the team, once I got to know everyone there, plus other driver would say to me, it became, "the company doesn't want you their, but they did feel like they would want to let me go, because they were in need of drivers, where does that put me, at this stage of life, I mean I give this company the best part of my live, Literally! I think It time to do the right thing for me, and help me move on with my life. Need I say more!

I honestly don’t know where to start…I’ve worked with companies of all sizes, and Eassons is by far, the best one. 
I’ve watched as the owner, co-owners and CEO, stops and talks to the employees anytime they seems them, and they remember the employees name, not the truck number, but their name, and they remember the smallest detail about them, it’s amazing.  
Anytime an employee has an achievement, it is celebrated, and the congratulations are sincere. 
Eassons is the true definition of a family owned business, because once you work there, you actually feel like your part of the family. 
I’m proud to say that I’m part of the Eassons family!!! 

My experience: No programs to accommodate person's with disabilities when I worked there. Even the most minor accommodation was too much for them to manage. Poor trip management (24+hours wait for back load), Not utilizing Elogs to fullest extent (2 seperate systems cause problems). Driver coordinators are not responsive and shift switch message flow is flawed (send a message to 1 on monday after hours and no one sees it until wednesday). Will put you in a truck that is older than 5 yrs with no fridge w/o telling you in advance and leave you scrambling for a cooler and will not compensate (same pay as guy with fridge)

What attracted me to becoming part of the Eassons team was the fact that it is a local family-owned company (3 generations)  and their mission statement mirrored a lot of my own core values. 
 I am very proud to be part of a team that embraces an inclusive working environment and understands that a diverse workplace helps to create an inclusive culture that values and uses the talents of all its employees.

You have the ability to work from home.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Noise, temperature, workload, not affordable to work there.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
at time toxic, very cold building, lots of noise, working from a bullpen extremely diffcult to consentrate with the noise and chatter

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
busy which is good but stressful given many circumstances

What is the best part of working at the company?
Modern and well maintained equipments

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Waiting for loads sometimes take a while, sometimes the delivery dates way off so you of sit and wait for your delivery time especially in the USA

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Mix culture and work environment is alright 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Calm and friendly and business as usual

Lacks upper management and structure in the Toronto office.
A day at Eassons is always misguided and a hands on place where one needs to be on top of their game.  Management in the head office is great to work with but there is not much support from the Toronto office.  Co-workers are good to work with but lack supervision.  The hardest part of the job is not having enough freight to move the trucks and no sales team in the Toronto office.

A great company to work for!! Personally I can’t say anything bad about Eassons. Everyone is such a delight to work with. From management and office staff, right down too the mechanics in the truck and trailer shops, to the guys on the docks, they are top notch!! I wouldn’t want to be working anywhere else.
