East Coast Catering

My days start at 4am - 6pm get breakfast and lunch ready, and prep for dinner.
I have learned good orginization and how to multi task from a great chef.
I have co-workers that I can always rely on.
The hardest part of the job is when the internet and satellite are down.
The best part of the job is seeing your how much money you have because your in a remote camp and have no where to spend it.

A typical day at word would comprise of 12 hours working in the kitchen, preparing meals for 100 miners everyday, lunch and dinner. Had fixed meals for everyday, steak mondays for dinner etc. There would be 3 kitchen staff in the kitchen in a 3 hour period, 1 dishwasher, 1 food prep and one cook. Very bondable people i've worked with and got along.

I enjoyed working with East Coast Catering very much . The staff are very nice , and the work environment is positive and friendly . The typical is 12 hrs , 7 days a week , the pay is great and the rotations are great too . The work place is very friendly , you work with some many different diverse cultures . That is the reason I love working there .

I worked three week stents offshore NL as an accommodations steward.  There was very little training and supervision which I personally liked but may not have been an overall good practice for the company.  The onsite managers were great but they needed support for some of the office work so they could be more hands on.

I found they have a like it or lump it attitude towards their employees.As an employee when it came time to back me up they dropped the ball.All they care about is putting the lowest bid in on the contract and then crying later there is no money for wages.

They treat their employees very respectful.  Every Friday the girls go out to lunch and the company bought us lunch once a month.  The Vice President  of Administration was very accommodating to her employees needs.

Full time positions seem to be hard to come by at first, many casuals float around different rigs and get to experience the unreal pay differential between them. But may go for weeks without a call.

very hard and demanding work and wages are low compared to other catering companies. Did not try to lessen the work load on my job but the other workers worked less and got more pay.

lot of people hardest part being away from family working with the company nice people learned punctuality  self maintance
