Good pay for no qualifications. Great for saving for college or a car. Hours are unpredictable, You will have days where it is a very short 4 hours or you will have shifts that are 13 hours 6:45-8:30 in uncommon situations. 

The office is u predictable usually ending in under-staffed sites. Paid training and free work cloths excluding work boots are a bonus. They however don't give out winter coats until November meaning your going to still buy your own at Costco before then. 

Very generous breaks also with a average staffed site getting me 30 minutes of break time every hour. Most of your day will be on break.

Overall when the job is good it's really good, like getting normal hours and full breaks. but when it's bad it can be really bad with weeks where you get home late and have no work to life balance and sweltering heat days with a break every 2 hours instead of 1.

Working at Eastern Traffic is a great way to stay healthy and strong, you are working outdoors and it's a great environment to make new friends with similar interests. It takes a few weeks to get accustomed to the physical aspect of the job and it can be tiring but it makes you feel good about yourself after that! There are a lot of measures in place to listen to the employee if there are issues in your workplace environment or even if you are having issues at home. They build your confidence, they are interested in your career advancement. I would recommend this company to any young person who hasn't committed to a career as a way to look at the over all Municipal Group as a lifetime opportunity!

Working at Eastern traffic services was great at first but later on it was an absolute nightmare the work-life balance did not pan out at all the time off was not what they said it would be the management does not care about you or your concerns when they are voiced however they ask you to voice them if you bring up anything you're the one that essentially gets in trouble they also will not do a formal investigation if an allegation is made against you they take the person who made the allegations word over anything you are just a number to this company does not matter if you kill yourself almost with hours on them I literally worked to the point at jeopardized my health and they did not care

Management, theubare bullies only looking for yes me and woman

Hostile at best, no drug poly, everyone walking on eggshells. Everyone afraid to say anything to management

Work your butt off for the company so they can make more money. With little thanks

They pay great!!!  They just work you to death and give you no home life balance.  I often would pick up traffic gear around the city for them and not even get paid for it.  You’re treated great in the beginning, but Unless you’re at their beckoned call and don’t stand up for yourself, you won’t last and are better off without them.

A typical day at work with eastern traffic is working 14-18 hours days, in complete heat than being expected to do that 7 day a week with no complaints. Management expects you to keep your head down and take the bullying when you do something wrong. They are all inexperienced when it comes to dealing with real life situations. The only thing that makes this job enjoyable is the amazing hard working people you meet on the way.

belittled and confused, no one knows anything

During the short amount of time i was with eastern traffic i was shown nothing but respect from my managers and superiors if i didnt something wrong instead of getting mad or upset they would point out what i did wrong and show me the better steps on how to do it right they wouldnt belittle me or make me feel bad for my mistakes  

Traffic Control can range from a 2 hour job changing a light bulb in Walton, to constructing a bridge on the highway 101 from 6pm to 6am. 

Where it is a nice and low stress job, the chaotic scheduling and work sites will require a bit of attention and assertion. 

You are in charge of the safe passage of cars and traffic within a work site.
