Good place to work for short term employment. You must be physically capable of lifting heavy items and pushing heavy skids with jacks. Your delivery orders are not ready in the morning so you work few hours at the warehouse picking up orders and then load them into your truck and start delivering. You get lots overtime hours during summer time but as soon as work slows down, they will fire you without notice (if you're on probation period). When I joined I was told there has been few drivers before me and company has to let them go blaming the drivers but now I understood who acted up. They don't have the capacity to pay their employees during low time of the year.

 Because of  poor managment is impossible to keep workplace organized and more efficent for night shift pickers . Despite hard work of many people, company seems to not care to improve  workplace connditions for better.  Short staff 2- 3 people permanently but increasing volume of work. .The best part; independent work and not bad salary;  the worst part; no  supervising of people who are not able do the independent work well and  most of the time take advantage of other hard working people. It is a toxic environment where people dislike each other which was created  by the poor managment. 

It’s a decent job, with decent pay. If you can’t find anywhere else to work it’ll keep the lights on while you find something else.
When it’s slow they lay off people, when it’s busy they take a while to hire new people. Expect lots of OT during the busy season (summer and Christmas/New Years) but then expect it to be very slow throughout the rest of the year.
No raises (there is a Christmas bonus), no incentives, just work hard and get paid the same amount as the other people you work with, regardless of the amount of work you do.

Poorly managed.  Little to no regard for the welfare of their employees.  Quality work is punished, while incompetence is rewarded.  Equipment is allowed to degrade with minimal maintenance levels.  The most enjoyable part of this job is the end of your shift.  This company routinely ignores legislated labor standards.  There is no advancement within the company.  They prefer to bring in outside help for most positions of authority without looking at existing staff to fill these positions.  This is a dead end job!

Management team does not train or develop staff.  This company does not promote from within, they hire management roles via their parent company.

Management does not deal with conflict, very poor communication throughout organization.

High turnover, people are easily disposable.

This employer is toxic at best, with zero level of care for their staff. A quarter of a life time wasted to be left near retirement without employment and fired without just cause as determined by Alberta Labor Standards.  If you are looking for a future that will benefit you, this is not for you.

This is by far the best job I’ve had. The people are excellent and the owners are attentive and caring. There’s a great work culture and I look forward to going into work every day. The job is challenging and there are places the company can improve, but the team is forward thinking and working towards improving the operation and business as a whole.

Loved working there. Everyone was super friendly and if I ever got the chance to work there again I would not give it a second thought and I would go back

Most stressful part of the job is moving items in the snow and ice

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Go in, do the job and go home.

A success story, but unwilling to change and incorporate new systems and ideas to grow the business. The company lacks clear roles and vision, this makes it difficult to make decisions.

Start shift at 11:30pm Ends 8 am.
Pick orders, once done begin stocking product.
Very fast paced, heavy lifting, hard work.
Must have knowledge of warehouse and be good problem solver.
Able to adjust to the night shift is a must.
