Edge Automation

I worked at Edge for about a year & a half. I moved from their design department to machine shop lead hand after about 3 months. My design experience has been very heavy duty applications so my "style" of design was a little too robust for Edge's applications.
As machine shop lead I was given a budget to "tool-up" their CNC & manual machines which I did for pennies on the dollar. My direct supervisor was very supportive & my crew in the Machine Shop were great.
I really enjoyed my time at Edge Automation. The co-workers are all super friendly, management is supportive & everyone you deal with there is helpful, happy & understanding.
I highly endorse working there to anyone who needs secure employment.

This is definitely one of the best places I have ever worked. Flexible hours and work/life balance seems to be good with the two months I worked there. 

Everyone seems pretty level headed and management is very approachable. Everyone is very understandable and helpful when it comes to learning or being new. Every day was different. I was lucky enough to work around in almost every aspect of the company to meet a lot of people and gain some employable skills during the time I was there.

 Constant team-building events like BBQ's.

Benefits package is good but could include optical benefits. 

Downside is work shortages and could be a little more safety conscious. I was let go because of work shortages, which is unfortunate, but I would love to come back here some time in the near future.

Typical work day is always different in the world of automation equipment manufacturing. Everyone is friendly and lunches are taken out of the plant once or twice a week.

A lot to learn from the design to programming to building robotic assembly machines

Management is up there, Owners and management team are level headed, intelligent and approachable

Co-workers are great, funny and make for wanting to work longer hours

Hardest part of job is work shortages and project over budget

A typical day at work consisted of sitting down, writing code, getting told that it was late and your fault.

I found management there to be lackluster and unsupportive of their employees.

The culture is as fake as it can get, everyone is two faced and will backstab you if you say the wrong thing.

The most enjoyable part of my job was quitting.

Company culture was a joke, no comradery between departments, always felt I was under the gun for deadlines.   Management was unsupportive and actively stabbed you in the back infront of customers.  Very little training or guidance.  Will "lay you off for lack of work" to avoid paying severance.

Edge is a great local business. The new shop is a great work environment. The machinery is designed and built in house by a variety of engineers and skilled trades. Also the opportunity to travel North America installing equipment has been a great experience. 

Edge is a great place to work, lots of learning, lots of enjoyable people.

Hardest part of the job was working long hours on projects when it needed to be done.

Best part of the job was the people you worked with, and the sense of satisfaction when the job was complete.

I had a great experience here. The staff is awesome, the CEO doesn't cut corners and cheap out on anything. The work is interesting and rewarding, every day was exciting

This place has a great atmosphere to learn and further your skill trade. Guys are a lot of fun. Management is good to you about work life balance. BBQ lunchs and lots of extras 

Great group of people, fun place to work and always something new coming through that makes the job interesting. There can be slow periods but that's just the nature of the business.
