What is the best part of working at the company?
Customers were the best part of the job. The breakfast menu has lots of variety. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management or lack of management and training. Not professional at all. Lacked people skills

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The customers and the other staff were lovely to work with. High staff turnover due to poor management/ownership 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Opening, stocking serving areas, seat customers, take orders, serve beverages and drink. Required your own float.  Printing bill and collection of payment and closing table. Also had to receive, verify and pack Uber and Skip the dishes. Closing duties included stocking and mopping floors and washrooms

Eggsmart has been a fantastic place to work for the past five years. The restaurant industry, serving particularly has really identified with me as an individual aiding in tremendous personal growth and development as well as enhancing my interpersonal skills. I have grown into a confident people person over years of serving. My co workers are great, I love working in a team environment and I know that we couldn't do it without each other. It can get busy, demanding, stressful and sometimes feel like you just can't do it but you CAN. It may be stressful and high speed at times but that's what makes the job fun. Its a diner experience, and we sure are hopping!

I was called in for an interview today at the Royal York (2947 Bloor st west) location. I was told to come in before noon, so I called the manager yesterday to confirm. 
I arrived today at the time we agreed upon, and was told that he left. I cannot believe how inconsiderate someone can be after we spoke on the phone and I expressed that I am coming from an hour away. He could have called and let me know at the very least.
My first impression of this place was very dirty and slow. There was one table with dirty dishes all over and dusty floors. Would not recommend for a work place if you are looking for something stable.

It was rather short shifts, typically consisting 4 hours on Sundays and Saturdays. The day would start off very fast-paced and difficult to keep up with the many customers especially with a lack of space to provide. I learned a lot about putting up a rather kind attitude at all times and was told to smile at all times despite not helping any customers. My location was rather okay at first, people were friendly, but then i slowly got told not to come into for shifts here and there, and then eventually i never got to work at all and just stopped working without an explanation of sorts. It turns out, the location closed down.

Prepararion if we need any fruits, vegetables or meat that need to be sliced or dices. We learned how to make food at a really fast pace and how to work together. The management is really good because everyone seems to like the food and they always come back.
Co-workers are nice and respectful hard working people who love what they do. The hardest part of the job is staying focus and trying to get orders out as fast as possible. The most enjoyable part of the job is seen people happily eat their meals.

The shift begins with major stress due to volume and staff being told there is a new " model". Everday you are told to change what you did the last shift. Owners talk to the staff horribly. To them & to others about them. You are expected to do 3 different stations at the same time. Number of ppl on shift is cut to bare bones,  hence the multitasking. You are paid a salary from the tips you pool.  Certainly doesn't add up in your favor.  Toxic beyond belief.  

Most days are busy, with fast turn-over of tables, but with the familiar faces of our regulars. Serving has taught me how to multi-task, and complete several tasks in a small period of time, all while remembering requests and maintaining a positive and friendly manner. The hardest part of the job is the early hours, and the most enjoyable is enjoying the abundant conversation with customers. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Making new food, Working time, Dish wash by machine etc.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Cleaning the flat gril and bacon half cooking.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
so so!  nothing especially which is not explainable. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The busy day was saturday and sunday but i enjoyed those busy days.

We now have new management, and hoping for better hours and more organization in the kitchen and dining area the waitress's are more up to speed on all the expectations of the restaruant and clientelle visiting our restaruant.

When I worked at Eggsmart, the manager I worked with was very enthusiastic and a great person to be around. The work was very fast paced but it gave me good experience and I met many people. As a manager and a server I interacted with many people on a daily basis and gained customer service experience.
