What is the best part of working at the company?
The money, getting paid every week, once for your paycheque and once for tips.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The managers and the customers. The customers are extremely entitled and will often verbally assault you until you give them what you want. The managers will always side with the customers and break policy which makes the customers even more entitled.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There is a hierarchy within the staff, and there is a lot of favouritism. If the managers don’t like you, you will see a significant decrease in your shifts. There is no respect for the workers, we often get passive aggressive emails from our managers.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I seat guests, make reservations, set tables, re fill menu’s, answer the phone, answer guests questions, fill take out orders.

Just like above this is maybe one of the best employers in the industry and certainly in Toronto. Be prepared to manage on the fly. As a manager there are constant challenges that the organization does not do well to plan for an execute solutions in advance

The work place is fun and the people are nice people too. I learned a lot from working at this place, which makes me ready to work for any restaurant. The only problem is that the job can be very repetitive and hard a times. The place can be extreme busy.

The good thing about El Catrin is the people that are on the same level as you. Once you start getting into higher ups things become dicey. They aren't exactly the easiest to get along with, but the worst part is that they do not give off a vibe of confidence/competence.

Productive and fun place, everyone so cooperates with one and other, it was a blessing to be able to work with those amazing people, I learned how to work fast, in a busy place, I can stand for more than 10 hours daily washing dishes.

Over all it wasn't so terrible, I wish my pay was better, I wish the management was better but in a restaurant where there are so many chefs and other staff it it hard to look catch everything.

Very busy and fun environment all the time. The greatest part of working there is your work is appreciated and everyone works in a team. You have to be a team-player to work there.

low pay, everyone around you is making way more money. management is a joke and will act like you are being dramatic if you bring up the pay. good to start but you will want to leave after 3 month. 

being located in the distillery district of Toronto makes it a constantly busy place to work. managers are quite pleasant, working with a good team made everything a little bit easier.

Worked here as a hostess. It’s a cool environment . They got good music playing and staff all know and talk to eachother. Ide say ur can get pretty fast paced but it’s a good job. Good also if your In school
