What is the best part of working at the company?
jobs in the past, none now and do not know what the problems is at the moment. I think they are unable to pick up contracts with new developments or do not have the ability to compete against other organizations...


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
there is nothing really stressful about working at the company except pay grade for the skills, experience and education of the workers. Pay can be better, if not that, then some perks or benefits.


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
all construction work sites and grunt work, labour, and construction related jobs. Not enough diversity in jobs and positions offered.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Normal, casual , wake up, show up on time, go to site, work, leave, come back to get paid and that's when you call it a day. Go home eat shat and sleep, wake up and decide wether to continue...

What is the best part of working at the company?
The staff is friendly and helpful, willing to provide people jobs that can lead to a great future. The people I have worked with through Embers have been great teammates, and hardworking individuals that have been placed in full time jobs.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Timing and transportation. There have been occasions when drivers are busy with many clients and some details were omitted.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Like Tony the Tiger would say... "Theeey're Great!"

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Wake up with lunch ready the day before, eat breakfast/drink coffee or tea, brush teeth etc., suit up, boot up and be ready for anything. :)

I worked for embers as a general laborer in construction. Getting hours for the job requires flexibility as they often call you up on the day you will be working (generally early mornings). This is a downside as you will lose hours on short notice. You will be sent to different construction sites so having a car is beneficial but they do offer a ride for the first time depending on availability. It's an excellent job if you need help getting experience as you could end up at a company that wants you. They also offer training that will improve your skills. Equipment is provided when you start out. Overall not a bad place to work if you're starting out and need some experience

Easy applicant process, kind and friendly staff with all equipment provided for free while you are working with Embers. General Labor, Skilled Labour, Heavy labour are the most popular and quick positions to work in however they have many different options as well. 
The only negative about working with them is having to pick up your time sheet for the week or for the day. Very early mornings, I was getting up at 4:45am leaving my home at 5:30 to arrive at work for 8am. Other than that it's provides opportunities for employment with larger companies as well. 

A typical day at work involved clear tasks, supportive coworkers, and helpful management. I learned time management, teamwork, and how to adapt quickly. The workplace culture was respectful and inclusive. The hardest part was working under pressure during busy hours, but it helped me grow stronger. The most enjoyable part was the sense of achievement at the end of each shift and the positive energy from the team.


Embers operates similar to many temporary staffing agencies, however it has some additional unique qualities that make it better, such as health benefits after a certain number of hours worked.  It is a very professional and welcoming environment, and provides great opportunities and fair treatment to everyone.  It is not possible to give workers everything they want, because Embers must also consider the company side as well.  However, overall Embers manages the employee and employer perspectives as good as possible. Thank you for doing a great job Embers!!!

This work at embers can be scarce at times. Due to high volume of job seekers they might fail to meet the demand 

Embers is fantastic for accepting anyone and getting them working quickly. It's usually hard manual labour, but if you're reliable you will get shifts. Equipment all provided.

Recommend buying your own boots quickly, the ones provided are not waterproof!

I was put on a project within a few days and worked there for several weeks. I was then able to use that experience to land an apprenticeship.

Knowing that you are taken care of - pack lunches are given - bus passes are given on a loan basis 

It is a start for anyone new to the city or country.

lifting heavy equipment and changing weather patterns and working outside in changing weather 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
welcoming, supportive and informative.

Embers treats me pretty good.
They even provide a ride to and from work at my office (not sure if they all do.) 
If you have construction skills and don't mind working hard, they have fairly regular work.
They pay fairly well depending on job classification. General labor is 18-20, skilled labor 20-22 usually, then skilled jobs start around 24 for carpentry etc.
