Snow Removal Crew Members are working under Standby Mode. 
Snow Removal from highway is same important like Emergency Services. 
Long Hours in this job means 2-3 Days not like 13-15 hours are long. 
Every crew facing many hard situations but it’s better to solve in the crew. if you are ready for long hours, Bad weather & Worst road conditions then you are suitable candidate for this job. 
  People needed patience during Highway Cleaning. 

Very old people have a clique with their own seating arrangements. Don't sit in the wrong seat!

The culture was ex-alcoholics pushing retirement age with youth envy making the wage of teenagers.

To be clear, I’m fairly old myself. I've worked in this industry for years and could cut their grass in any aspect of what they do because I've worked in large cities with advanced equipment and methods.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Decent pay, relaxed atmosphere. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Frequent miscommunications lead to a lot of backtracking and frustrations.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I good atmosphere with good people. Hard work is recognized. Safety is taken seriously.

Lack of leadership, lack of communication, employees are not told of changes until last moment, employees shifts and jobs are changed without consulting the employee, management gets new air conditioned vehicles, people doing the actual work get equipment that is in fair condition at best and have to cook in it during summer hours, high turn over of employees, 

Full time position not only dealing with Emcon but also with the little companies that the presiedent of Emcon owns. I learnt how to complete month ends and future cash flows. the hardest part of my job was remembering the GL accounts for the little company's. The most enjoyable part of the job was that there is always something to do.

Far too few maintenance staff for the requirements. 
One mechanic expected to keep up with the work at multiple shops. Work, Work, Work. 
Service Work, Inspection Work, Repair Work.
Work in adverse winter conditions.

I honestly loved working there well I still do it’s only seasonal but if you have your class 3 you can work all year round I was a pilot driver now I’m a white gunner .. it’s mostly out of town work all summer so if you can not be home all summer that’s good cause I know the nod isn’t for everyone...

this company expects a lot of a mechanic but doesn't offer any proper shops, proper tooling and a lot of the equipment is old, tired and difficult to repair. This company spends more money on fighting union greivences than it does on tools. It is all about the managers here.
