A summer camp program with a great atmosphere. A typical day consisted of prepping for the days activities, creating timelines and schedules as to where we needed to go and the activities that would occur. 

The job required patience and diligence as it involved managing preteens and teens. The job was sometimes stressful but along with fellow management, there were no problems that could not be addressed and dealt with.

The hardest part of the job was also the most enjoyable part of it. Dealing with a large group of preteens involved being always on the move and this had it physical toll after doing so all day long.

My day is varied with phone calls, meetings, admin and a host of other jobs. No two days are identical. I love going to work each day.

I'm constantly learning and there is always something new to do and ways in which I am developing my skills and experience.

The team in which I'm a part, is an amazing group of people and they are truly a part of my family.

There are aspects of the job that are challenging, but I always have the help I need.

Fun, relaxed atmosphere. Well-organized children's program, with stringent background checks. The position is not paid, but it is not demanding, as there is a rotating schedule with plenty of volunteers. Overall, an excellent organization to work for. The best part of the job is getting to interact with bright and engaging students.

This was a great volunteer job that had many pros to it. It gave free lunches, a $75 honorarium and you get to just hang out with fun kids the whole day. The hours might be a bit long but that's why it's called a day camp. This is a great place to gain experience and it's very fun. I would recommend it.

Fun environment, where someone will learn to deal with the stresses of dealing with children all the while be able to participate in fun activities. The most enjoyable part of this job is making sure everything runs smoothly for the kids to have fun, despite tiredness on some days.

Working at Emmanuel Baptist was a relaxing and enjoyable environment to work in. The staff were genuinely caring, encouraging and helpful. Working with the day-camp staff was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will never forget; it was wonderful!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time working here, the work environment is friendly and approachable. I found there to be a real sense of unity when working here. If any stressful situations arise, they are dealt with in a timely and gracious manner.

It was very enjoyable working at Emmanuel Baptist Church. They people there are friendly and create a sense of community. Individuals often leave the building with a warm feeling.

working with kids was fun. the work and attendance that was required with the children allowed each counsellor to learn how to maintain and care for more than one child at a time.

Fun place to work, friendly environment. Made daily games and activities for children, supervised a group of 6 kids, went on field trips. Co workers were very friendly and outgoing
