Enactus

Being a part of Enactus Ryerson allowed me to broaden my horizons at university. I was able to test my time management skills, balancing studying versus organizing events and facilitating at secondary schools for Start Smart. Planning an event would involve promoting the event around campus, creating buzz, booking appropriate rooms, organizing catering, all while managing cost, time, and scope constraints. Being a Start Smart facilitator was also a challenge since I conducted workshops at an all girls troubled and disabled secondary school. Therefore, I had to adjust my workshops to cater to all levels of education and attention abilities to help the girls understand the importance of having money management skills.

Enactus had a great support staff of professors that helped us and provided us with the freedom to pursue the events we thought the university and people across the globe would want and need. Every student was passionately involved in creating new ideas and new projects for Enactus to pursue and being in that sort of environment was very beneficial to my confidence and team work skills.

The hardest part about being a member of Enactus was balancing my time spent organizing events and being a part of everything Enactus had to offer while also studying for my degree. They believed your degree and success at school came first and if you needed time off to study there would be someone willing to help you out with your duties at Enactus. 

The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting all of the members and creating those long lasting relationships as well as putting together entrepreneurial-focused events to benefit others.

PREREQ is a social entrepreneurship program that deals with integrating new-coming immigrants to the local job market. As the Head of Sponsorship, a typical day at work would include leading an Event Coordinator meeting with undergraduate delegates to prepare for promotional, logistical and catering sponsorship agreements required for any upcoming events. PREREQ is an umbrella term for a series of diversified programs that an individual can adhere to, or simply start in the middle of. The program can range between preparatory changes to professional portfolios to dealing with governmental documentation. I ensure to include business influence in the cycle by representing PREREQ in a number of meetings with large corporate employers such as RBC and ScotiaBank. Recently, a relationship between RBC and PREREQ has been established in the hopes of plotting more informative risk analysis and evaluating scope of expansion.

•	Enactus York was an Entrepreneurial organization in York University, where we organized events to educate and help the less educated people, and those struggling to get a full-time job. 
•	It was an organization where we carried out events to teach the people about Entrepreneurship and how they can start up to make something for themselves. We had events such as for those in the catering field.

A great place to develop skills necessary to be competitive in today's job market. A typical day at Enactus is doing brainstorming, doing research, and trying to make a difference within a community. The most enjoyable part of volunteering for Enactus is the fact that organization encourages you to believe in yourself and make a difference.

Enactus provides students with an opportunity to bring their social enterprise businesses to life. Through workshops, guided expert case studies, and hands-on experience solving social issues.

there are no typical days that we have to work it just a volunteer group .it have learned team work and coordination in Enactus .Enactus is managed by the students and its a organization all over the Canada

Excellent platform to explore entrepreneurship. It was a nice group where we learnt about teamwork, start some small businesses. It was a amazing feeling working.

worked there for a contract work from home internship. Had a weekly meeting scheduled for reviewing the work and pitching new ideas. Overall pretty chill, but a decent amount of workload


Fun work but inconsistent, projects are not reliable and you might be switched to multiple projects. The work environment is good and clean, also there is a lot of flexibility provided
