What is the best part of working at the company?
The entire team was super welcoming and friendly throughout my multiple seasons spent working here. The supportive and friendly environment was genuinely one of the best parts about working here and made it really easy to want to come back between my semesters at school.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
During my multiple seasons here I would not describe it at all as a stressful environment but rather a well paced and supportive environment. The best part was whenever I was unsure of how to handle a situation or something I may not have tackled yet, which is bound to happen when learning something new or dealing with a new situation, I was always able to reach out or talk to my supervisor with out any stress involved. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work culture and environment was honestly great, I felt appreciated for doing good work, and got along with everyone working there super well. I really appreciated how simple it was to talk to my supervisors whenever I had a question or help with something I was working on.  In terms of work culture I would say the same thing, positive and really enjoyable.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
For my position as an Erosion control inspector, It started with a check in with my supervisor to both be on the same page, then going to sites to perform inspections and create reports to advise on what could be updated or improved to protect drainage systems. Occasionally attend simple meetings at sights to make sure everything is going well.

They don't actually care about you. The management doesn't have a clue on what they want/are doing, and will terminate on a whim. Particularly during the probation period, don't ask questions about your role/responsibilities they might read too much into it and get rid of you. They will barely take a chance on you and don't want to spend anytime on training, so if you don't fit perfectly into whatever unknown standard you're gone. 

There is little to no communication between supervisors and yourself, even if something about you or your performance is troubling them, you will be in limbo about what is expected of you. 

The work itself is monotonous, and isn't fulfilling and you will deal with some difficult people. Its also expected you to work frequently, almost daily. Work here to get paid, don't look for a long career here, and leave as soon as you can.

One nice thing is there is fairly frequent bonuses that happen a few times a year. 

They will ramble in the interview about how they are a good company, but it's just the managers that will repeat this, don't fall for it. 

One strike you're out mentality.

Mentions opportunity for advancement - this is because of the turnaround. In five months seven people left or were fired/laid off.

HR will call you sensitive for calling out blatant disrespect. Not sure if they realize this is gaslighting.

If you don't mind walking on eggshells and being a "yes man", you'll do okay in the shop.

Pursuing education was "supported and encouraged" to my face but a reason for my dismissal so be careful with mentioning future goals. 

Owner told me they hired someone new so I could be placed into a different position with the company I was hoping for......two days before firing me. Would've been nice to not be led on.

HR told a coworker of mine that they were going to fire me before they even spoke to me which I found very unprofessional.

I'm not really disgruntled about losing the job I'm disgruntled by the lack of respect/integrity I was shown. 

I've never worked in a place where you can be praised for your work and fired "for not being a good fit" in the same day by the same person.

While commencing the day with highly detailed full involvement safety meetings each employee is encouraged to participate actively.
The knowledge gained each day from highly skilled members is a tremendous asset.
Management has high desire to succeed in all projects.
Each coworker has an opportunity to improve upon their knowledge and skill level.
The hardest part of the job is this is a small company in the industry.
The most enjoyable part of this job was the close contact and open door policy.

I worked here for a few months. they completely lied to me during the interview. They said the occasional weekend work, I worked almost every weekend. The owners are pretentious with a holier than thou attitude and a complete disregard for your humanity. I expressed my need for a schedule I could plan my life around and they just disregarded that. Corporate greed at its finest here. Finally the stress was to much to handle and I ran for it, best decision I ever made. If you value having even a little bit of a life outside of work you'll stay away

You're just a number and will always be a number. There is no actual growth system at this company, everything is based on the opinions of management and there's only a few of them. They don't respect the needs of their employees and their personal life. Management wants a work-work balance rather than a work-life balance. Theres no actual career here, just a place to get some hours if you need. 

Awesome place to work. They value hard workers and will give opportunities to those who put in the effort. They really care about having a good team dynamic and that shows in the people they hire. They put so much effort into making a team that is inclusive, friendly and works well together and it really made my time there an overall great experience.

The company likes to front that their a good company and good business but it isn’t it lacks direction and people upper management has little to no direction and even if you do get one of the good ones if you do anything to upset them off you lose your job it’s a poor company don’t work here just run not worth your time 

Everything job is short notice, you don't have set days off very often. Plans change at any moment and you have to so to speak roll with the punches. That is the basics of any liner company. Don't believe there is a job until your standing on it.

I really enjoyed my time spend at Engineered Containment Inc.  I gained valuable experience and will always remember the great team members at Engineered Containment Inc.
