- The environment you work in is not for the faint of heart as you will be covered head to toe in bugs a majority of the time while dealing with extremely high temperatures and humidity.
- The company is a revolving door and you'll see why pretty quickly.
- Owners best friend whom he puts in charge of things he has no business being in charge of is a power hungry charlatan who will not refrain from attempting to sweep your job out from under your feet given the chance if he decides he doesn't enjoy your company.
- You will not be fairly compensated for what you put your body through working here.

I had low expectations after reading other reviews but Entomo is now under new management, and growing rapidly. The culture is very positive - my coworkers feel like good friends, and I look forward to coming to work every day. Even management is fun and caring.
Since the company is growing so fast, there's been lots of opportunity for me to learn new skills and take on additional responsibility. Management isn't shy about promoting from within. Overall great company to work for and the mission is something we can feel good about.

I enjoyed my time on the farm. They were very polite and worked with me when I needed to take some time off for prior engagements. The barns can be very hot, and you can get sweaty, but the people you work with will encourage you to take a water break, cool down if needed, and assist when needed on the job. The team is awesome to work with! Only reason I left was for something closer to home. You get to learn a lot about entomology and how the whole system works. From raising the crickets, caring for them, and then to harvesting the crickets. You can learn a lot! :) 

Despite being a humid environment, your body adjusts quite quickly.

The overall environment is very welcoming as many employees are all very personalable and friendly. You have the option to not take your lunches and receive and extra 30 minutes of pay every day that you choose not to. Great hours, and very understanding boss.

Overall, great place to work at!

They try and seem very relaxed and understanding about working in the hot temperatures, and they will encourage you to take breaks but don’t let them see you take a heat break or they will somehow punish you. You will never get a raise no matter how hard you work, and never thrown a bone. I believe they go against many labour codes as well

They have great energy friendly staff and employees that quickly fades once you see the things you have to deal with, messy, stinky full of nasty insects and mice/rats.

lunch rooms are gross, the pay is minimum wage. The workers have great hearts, management is a bad.

Hot and humid work environment. Pay is minimum wage with no chance of advancement. Management changing directions, processes, and routines daily. These changes always meant more work for the labourer, without more compensation. Neat company to work for temporarily as you learn lots about entomophagy

Relaxed and great staff but poorly managed company. Has so much potential. Pay isn't worth it. Lay offs are common and don't expect to have consistent hours. Simply a stepping stone. 

This place is unique but don't kid yourself. You're just a number and what you put in isn't given back in compensation or appreciation. Its not worth the commute to make pennies.

No consistency in work load. Unorganized. Depending on what department you work in sometimes looking for work to do. Left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing. Owner needs to step back.
