Started as an Instructor Therapist, to ABA Therapist.  TONS of opportunities for those who are looking for room to move around.  Starts off with sick and vacation days.  Vacation time starts at 3 weeks and moves up to 5 weeks after 10 years.  
Must have adaptable, as this is an learning environment kind of company.  Things never stay the same: they shift, move and improve.  
Good communication between management and employees.
Must have professional and soft communication skills when interfacing with clients.  They are stressed and worried parents with children they love. 
Current health and safety above and beyond typical companies in the face of Covid-19.  Appropriate sick days for staff who are ill, along with staff who have a family member at home who is ill with Covid19.
Certainly a great place to work with room to move.

Before I started at Erinoakkids, I was very excited to work here. Once I started working here, I quickly realized how toxic and unhealthy the dynamics are here. It feels like high school, with cliques and gossip flying around. Management pick clear favourites and those people advance, while the others get left behind. They spent most of the year terrorizing the entire company with layoff news and creating mass fear. They also clearly spent all their money on the buildings and weren’t able to keep their only ABA program open because of “funding issues”. If you value your mental health, don’t work here. 

The management team is oppressive and have no idea what front line workers do for a living. Supervisory and management staff are promoted from within without and leadership training. Spying on others is valued. Everybody is a number and easily disposed of. Many staff are incredible at their job but the more competent you are, the more of a threat you become to insecure supervisors and the more work you have dumped on you. The families served by ErinoakKids are incredible but need a lot of support and staff are often encouraged to do less for them so that they can take more on, diluting the quality of care. If management does not like you, they will find excuses to terminate you.

The team was great and they knew how to retain employees when I first started in the autism sector. Then when layoffs happened they made us all do 3x the work with the same pay. Was laid off twice in my 5 years here and left before the most recent round of layoffs! Job security is non-existent. Poor management and leadership team with 0 idea as to what occurs in the "front lines". Decision-making is done through a computer screen. Rarely saw senior management on site after COVID gave them a reason to work from home and not see the distress of their staff. Wish things would have gone back to the "old days" and they listened to their staff's cries for help.

Largest Children's treatment Centre in Ontario with 3 state of the art, child centred treatment facilites.  Provide evidence based care for children with disabilities.  Services options include Speech and Language therapy, Occupational therapy, Physiotherapy, Medical Services, Social Work, Recreation Therapy, Respite Services, Service Navigation and Autism Services.

The staff are great, we work collaboratively to meet the needs of clients and families. The shift work is not great. A typical day can be seeing too many clients scheduled in your profile that doesn't allow for proper time to document each meeting. I find i would work through my lunch most days to make sure my workload was completed.

Working at ErinoakKids was, and continues to be, a visceral part of who I am today.  
It was an absolute privilege to work with such amazing teams and families!
Everyday brought new opportunities to develop and secure best solutions for families.

It's a leading organization for children with special needs, and provides lots of opportunities for growth. The job culture is relaxed, and the management is very helpful and supportive towards employees.

Specializers are very kind and understanding. I would go in and volunteer at a youth drop in program. I would play video games, board games, and compete in other activities with program participants. I would help to endure the safety of these participants and make it a memorable event for them.
