Escape Fire has done a great job creating and promoting an amazing work environment for all of its employees. I have worked for over 30 years in the Fire Protection industry in B.C. and Escape Fire is at the top. Escape Fire has really evolved in the few years I have been with them and is taking things to the next level. There has been considerable expansion to their office and administration, recently strengthening their HR Department and knowledgeable Project Managment / Project Cordination teams. There has been the addition of a fabrication shop which is complimented by their skilled in-house Design Services. There is also an amazing full service, Testing and Inspection Division as well as a thriving Tenent improvement / Small Projects Division.
The installation team is awesome. It is really an all inclusive, multicultural team of men and women that is great to be a part of. From the newest, greenest employee to the most seasoned Foreman and Superintendents it really feels like a team. Escape Fire has some of the best in the business working for them. It's the right choice if you are thinking about a career if Fire Protection. Do it !!



At least for my position, I am actually paid fairly for my experience level, which is not something I'm used to.  The real draw here though is the work culture and flexibility. You'll get the opposite of a corporate environment, and it feels like they are trying hard to maintain that culture. We've been lucky to maintain that even with all the new blood, so let's hope it continues.

Unfortunately they are (as of early 2024) struggling with new digital job management systems, which I AM very used too from working in smaller companies. I feel like you either join a large corporate entity with functioning systems and policies, or you find a smaller company and have to work hard to make it better. Well I'm definitely working hard, but maybe it'll be worth the effort.

There is a lot that I like about the company, mainly the people. My crew is really good and we get along well. I like working with them because the day goes by very quickly and I am learning what I need to. I have worked with both field superintendents and I like them both. They always listen if I have questions or if I run into a problem and are very knowledgeable. They care about the work and the people doing it.

The people in the head office are nice too. I have been talking to the HR lady since I started with the company last year. Whenever I need help, she is very helpful and kind. She has always been nice and friendly. Very supportive and understanding.

All in all, there are many good people here and it is definitely a reason I am sticking around with this company. The days may be long and the work may be hard but it is definitely worth it. The field superintendents and foremen always recognize hard workers and it feels great.

I have worked with Escape Fire Protection now for 18 years.  I started from the bottom straight out of high school.  Over all the years, I can say that it has been a great place to work.  We have built a great work culture,  and Escape Fire has become a family.  Whether you are just starting out, or you are an existing sprinkler fitter there is alot of area to grow and learn.  In fact I continue to learn.  We have some really good guys at our company with lots to teach.  So I welcome people to apply.  Maybe it is the place you need to be.  

Started my Fire Sprinkler Fitting career with EFP and I knew nothing about construction before (Green).

I started with escape fire in 2016 as a 2nd year apprentice. They have been a great company to work for and have helped me obtain my red seal and build my career. I have been able to move up from an apprentice to now running high profile jobs. There management team is great, and middle management allows you to work freely and still gives you the support you need to succeed. I would recommend Escape Fire to anyone as a great place to start or continue your career.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work with escape fire. I’m sorry to say that after working so many years with Escape Fire, my overall experience has been very disappointing. I had no issues before, but once I submitted my resignation letter, the way they treated me was really upsetting instead of showing any appreciation. When the company was busy, I even dropped out of school twice to support them, but in the end, there was no growth or value for their workers.

Escape Fire Protection is by far is the best sprinkler company around! From the owner Ezra, to our office staff and of course the guys in the field. I wouldn’t want to spend my career anywhere else!

I have been in the Field Superintendent position for almost 3 years now and to see this company triple in size, take on big, high profile projects I can’t wait to see where Escape will be going forward.


I dedicated 7–8 years of my life working hard for Escape Fire. Sadly, even after all that time, I felt there was no real trust from management. There was too much internal politics, and it affected morale and teamwork. It’s frustrating to give your best for so many years and still feel unappreciated. I hope the company reflects on how it treats long-term employees and works toward a healthier work environment.

If you're looking for a place to start your career Escape Fire Protection is a great place to do so. I started with Escape in 2020 as an apprentice. The company is filled with great people. They offer all the tools you'd need as a beginner to start a career. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is interested in fire sprinklers.
