Escar Entertainment was hired to man the drink booths at the CNE. Every day I'd arrive about 10-15 minutes early to open my booth, restock/rearrange any drinks and clean my booth from the night before. Then I'd stand for about six hours selling drinks. Finally, someone would come to relieve me and take their shift, at which I'd help them restock and do any cleaning that was required. Although it was uncomfortable to stand for so long, as long as you had comfortable shoes you'd be okay. This opportunity helped me add and subtract larger amounts without a calculator, because the registers would not do that for you. I also met many new people and genuinely enjoyed working there.

Escar is an amazing company to work at. The hours are flexible and I've learned so much from them. Escar is a service business and I had a total different view on how a service is run, since my position was running as area that has a frequent tourists walking by. I've learned how to effectively and efficiently work during fast paced situations and how to do deal with issues during those times. The co-workers were around my age which made my time much more comfortable. The most enjoyable part was the opportunities and events that occurred while on the job. There are too many to describe but they were all overwhelming.

As stated in the summary, it a seasonal workplace that stretches the three weeks of the CNE. Truly fun: people - both customers and staff -  are great, but you're busy all the time...which is something I happened to enjoy.
Also, once you've worked with escar once - if you do well - you're practically guaranteed a job there the next year. It is truly an asset to any university student looking to add just a little more to their emergency funds for the school year.

This job was very fun. The hiring and management team of Escar Entertainment is very professional and friendly. 

Escar Entertainment holds multiple vendors in the yearly CNE event in Toronto. It's a very fun environment. 

However, shifts are long and every day for the entire duration of CNE so it is very tiring and we have no time for other things.

Avoid this place at all costs. They have no work-life balance. The management is horrible. You will face the mist passive aggressive manager. They also do not disclose your salary…its all “based on performance”. Not a fair place, they have a lot of accidents happening and they’re very sketchy overall. They were a great company pre-Covid, but were horrible in 2022.

Escar Entertainment is one of the many companies that are in the Canadian National Exhibition. Most if not all Toronto residents have went down to the CNE and have had many fond memories there , Escar hosts game booths and a ton of amazing food booths that help make the Exhibition an amazing summer memory, a great way to end the summer.

Learned to manage people, friendly co-workers. Great way to meet new people, long hours but good over time pay, Hardest part was dealing with customers, it's an outdoor job, and not the most well equipped job. Most enjoyable is the friends you get out of working there.

Escar entertainment is also a company that works at cne.  I worked with food so it’s a lot different than games but it still has the same customer service aspect.  My favourite thing was meeting new people within the company and making friends

Working as a game attendant for Escar Entertainement was the highlight of my summer. The work enviroment was fun and lighthearted which made long hours seem shorter. I learned a lot about good customer service and working in teams.

I enjoyed my time working at escar entertainment because the environment was lively and fun. My co-workers were amazing and we got along well. I would suggest escar entertainment to anyone that wants to work there.
