Typical day consists of:

+ managing staff as to tasks, safety reminders and any future events. 

+Performing daily inspections, including the safety and upkeep of equipment. 

+Having daily chat with client ( called CWT, customer work tickets ) as to any areas of concern and just to stay current and in touch as to what each party expects. 

+Completing my own hands on tasks, such as stripping/waxing of floors, extracting/shampooing carpets, cleaning washrooms etc

I've learned how to not micro-manage and/or do everything myself and learned rather to lead, train and direct accordingly to obtain the desired levels of quality. I've learned the importance of structured multi-tasking and problem solving. 

The management in which I deal with on a regular/semi-regular basis have been for the most part helpful in seeing that I have the proper tools to deliver what is expected of me and my team to the highest possible levels. One has stepped forward as an informal mentor and has truly helped me accomplish what I have thus far as an educated Supervisor.

The hardest part of my current job is seeing an associate that has been here for 5-10 and more years have to make the decision to be transferred or lose their job, as we have been cutting back due to the closing of this site. 

I enjoy seeing a job well done, something to be proud of. If it's broke I enjoy fixing it, if there's a problem, I enjoy solving it. Seeing a happy client/boss as to a job well done or a happy associate because they were recognized for a job well done, makes it all worth while.

I have learned about working under a goverment contract how all T's need to crossed an I's dotted. It is a very high demanding job. Co-works I don't see alot of as I would start befor anyone else gets in and little communication when I get back as I have already put a long day in and just finish my paper work hand it in if office is open.

The management are there when you need them if there are problems,they need to be called to advise me of my next step. As there is procedures to follow.

The hardest part of the job would be the over nights, I will drive to Ottawa try and get there so I can rest, as I need to be at each delivery at a certin time.

I like being in a truck like by myself, it is like being my owen boss. I love being on the road and seeing Ontario.

if you enjoy living in fear of your bosses who likely will burn you and abuse you on a continual bases while union idly watches you burn.
i can assure you this job is not for the faint of heart or wallet as suspensions, sick leave and stress leave are not paid for.

after union dues and taxes i would take home about as much as I made making 12$ an hour. leaving me with no money to use the befits as you have to be reimbursed for your discounts 

this is a monster corporation. steer clear of their apathy

#1 Typical day of work is cleaning washrooms,,bedrooms,,hallways ,,laundy and janitor rooms,
#2 learned much about helath and safety which is a very big part of our job.
#3I have always gotten along well with any management because I do the tasks I am assigned and have never caused any problems and has never even gotten a verbal warning yet in the 3+yrs I have been here.
#4Get along well with all my co-workers and we have all become best friends.
#5The hardest part of the job is having to fly back and forth from Camp to Edmonton ,,from Edmonton to Toronto and then back again every 3 weeks.

It was a good oportunity. Pas trop dure. I have served as a  janitor at  Allen Maintenance and a janitor and vacuum cleaner at Eurest services , acquiring  janitorial experience.  I enjoy the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment. I am known for problem-solving abilities, and have been keeping up to date in this field by working as a janitor and vacuum cleaner. I worked as part of a small team of cleaners. That dynamic allowed us to share our skills and solve some fairly puzzling tasks. While working, I have met people with a set of skills who have worked in this field for decades and that allowed me to polish my own skills. The workplace is very busy with thousands of customers to be served every day. Work environment wasn't very comfortable, with lack of space in the kitchen. 
I have learned many aspects of handling customers here, angry customers, customers with disabilities, positive interaction with customers simultaneously keeping up with the work pace.
Catering functions are alway's a nice break from a regular day.
The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to interact with a lot of great people...both customers and fellow employees.
The best part of the job is when you are involved with your work so much that you tend to get lost with time.
For the most part, I feel like I grew as a person and learned a lot about myself and working hard.

Working in a Kitchen is a very fast paced environment, it isn't for the faint at heart, it's all about production, but if you enjoy this type of work, it can be very full filling, and rewarding. Your typical day is started out by getting instruction, for your daily chores, then your off, prepping and locating your ingredients, and then making your product. 

I learned that kitchen life is very intriguing and Stressful, but wonder full if you're healthy.

Management enough said.

Dealing with Management.

The end of your shift. 

> starts at 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm Monday to Friday.
> learned to be punctual at all time, learned to used different kind of tools, time management on site.
> management are supportive too, before you go on your designated site we have a small meeting to discuss some issues or small problems how to avoid such problems, they always reminding safety precautions.
> it not hard to deal because we are all Filipino, we can easily communicate and understand each other because we used our own dialect.
> the hardest part is when one member of your team is absent, and when they transferred you in other site.
> when there is cooperation among members to do task...

While I was at this company for 5 years, i found that there was no communication between not only the management and the employees but between the management and supervisor. There were a lot of good people who worked for this company who left due to the communication being unsatisfactory. The co workers were always nice and welcoming. The management was very bland not much emotion or sympathy toward their employees and favoritism was always a problem at the workplace. The most enjoyable time at this company was all the new faces i got to meet an befriend.

It's unionized so you are protected when the company tries to screw you because they will, more than once

They create a toxic environment between the client and the employees as well as the toxic supervisors 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very very toxic and extremely difficult to work for so the turn around is ridiculous
