-a typical day was spent on SmarTeam checking, correcting submitted designs for my approval. I also created and helped others create appropriate material and design processes.
- the biggest thing I learned was dealing with individuals with various personal characteristics. As most of our designers were young, I did learn from them but I got to teach more than learn.
- Most of my co-workers came from a varied pool of cultures and were , for the most part, eager to learn and were very bright and helpful.
- The hardest part of the job was summoning the will to be patient as, like a postal worker, the incoming work was as relentless as the timeframe for processing was minimal.
- The most enjoyable part were the moments when the light over the young designers heads went on when I knew they understood what I was attempting to show them.

Training was very intense, 76 page training manual to read with verbal non-stop instruction for 8hrs daily for 3 weeks and then I was placed on the board to use my extremely weak newly acquired knowledge in a fast paced environment. My trainer had started to talk smack about me with other employees which didn't help with my confidence levels and I quickly became overwhelmed with constant picking at small issues without the assistance of my managers help who had a "learn how to swim or drown attitude' I don't do well with negative reinforcement which is the method there, wayyyy too much to learn in a short time without support, I know if given time I would have been good at that job but unfortunately they are too impatient with new people, and the position really needs two people when it's busy, very disappointing experience, I gave it my all with too much expected too quickly

They claim to be part of the Top 50 Best Managed Companies in Canada, but they are the worst managed company I have ever worked for. The company's structure is archaic. Where they were once an industry leader, they are now at the bottom, loosing resources and clients to the competition. They don't care about their employees, often forcing them to perform work beyond their employment contract, without any additional compensation. They have no problem getting rid of an employee who asks to be properly compensated for taking on more responsibilities. Employees are expected to be on call 24/7, eventhough it was never mentioned in the interview, or as part of the hiring agreement.

Stay away from this toxic work place.

Terrible company with equally terrible leadership at all levels, I’d give it zero stars if I could. Enjoy 24/7 on call, scrambling to meet deadlines and no life outside work because god forbid you say no to a customer when you literally don’t have the manpower for half the tasks you are assigned. 

Also enjoy jaded techs, senior technicians without the resources to manage their crews, clueless management with their eye on nothing but the bottom line and entitled, rude customers who treat you like their property. Congratulations on having the most bare bones training program I’ve ever seen at an AMO, hopefully TC dings you hard in your next audit. 

To all you AMEs out there, licensed or apprentice; the industry is hurting for people. Don’t scrape the bottom of the barrel at this place. Know your worth and find somewhere decent. 

If you want material for writing a "DON'T Manage a Company Like This" book, then this is the place to be. 
It's unfortunate what bad management has done to this once well respected company.
Management tries to use the employees as scapegoats in order to cover their own lack of experience, knowledge and people skills. There is lack of oversight in day to day operations. Loss of business and poor employee moral speak volumes. not somewhere to pursue a long term career like it used to be. Expect your job to be threatened for now concrete reason. 
Management must take responsibility for their  own mismanagement. Customers and employees are leaving for their mess ups and behaviour. The company is a shell of its former self because of management. If management doesn't change soon, there will no longer an Execaire.

Seems appealing at first glance but management is all over the place. Non unionized office jobs have no protocols and regulations in place. Leaders of departments are poorly train and create a very toxic work environment for workers. There is an unfortunate rivalry within the company which makes training unbearable for new employees. I was told by my immediate supervisor who I should hate on the first day. Sick day policies are to the discretion of the managers which creates very tense atmosphere amongst co workers. Lack of training.

Working in the aviation world and learning about aircraft and being able to see these types of business jets was always pleasing. 
Many of my co-workers were fun and knowledgeable people. 
Making sure the Library and documents were up to date on a daily basis. Sometimes it was a challenge!  Working with my co-workers was a good day. Not always, but most days.!  Ensuring the work was done by days end. Reviewing document packages and preparing the work load for a finished aircraft project was an accomplishment in itself, but rewarding in the end.

a typical day at work should be busy, happy, fun, and profitable for the employer.  They taught me everything I know about the aviation industry.  I had competant, and professional managers and supervisors.   The workplace culture was enjoyable to me and my training in the industry.  The hardest part of my job was having to end the day, and the most enjoyable part was going into work in the morning.

The nature of this business is very exacting and attention to detail is paramount to accomplish all aspects of aircraft maintenance and refurbishment. 
Being able to work under pressure and keep projects on time takes dedication and a team effort from all involved.
As this business is closely regulated by Transport Canada, I learned how to follow their guidelines, interpret and apply regulations.
The teams I worked with were very competent and knowledgable.

What is the best part of working at the company?
 ACTUALLY NOTHING  VERY UNFRIENDLY AND NOT A TEAM PLAYER IN THE INTERIOR DEPARTMENT.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
WHEN YOUR CO-WORKER DOESN'T SAY HI, GOOD MORNING  AND THEY DON'T TALK  TO YOU . DEFINITELY UNWELCOME
