Was once a decent company to work for, but as time passed, things changed, and how?

First of all, the amount of money I made divided by the number of hours I worked is pretty much equal to the minimum wage which is not worth the heavy lifting that’s required on the job. Second, there are no benefits. And third, if you work for ECM and eventually you decide you want to work for the customer. As per the rules, you have to quit ECM for an ENTIRE YEAR FIRST… This is a DEVIOUS exploitation of their workers and if ECM wasn't such a terrible organization to work for, they wouldn't have to worry about their better workers leaving for better opportunities. No wonder there was a high turnover rate during my last 4 months with this company. This company also attracts a lot of workers who are not reliable.

The only positive thing about ECM is the flexibility. You can choose any workday you want while working as little as one shift per week, but that’s it.

Overall, it’s clear there is no appreciation for a day’s work at ECM. Having said all that, don’t waste your time and energy here, because you’re better off working at McDonald’s.

So you guys understand like every job there are a large variety of  different techniques you can learn do help you do your job super fast , you need to be willing to learn or it will look hard. 
If you want to learn more techniques you just ask the company to teach you and they will be more then happy to help you with that but you have to speak up !
Most of guys I have seen work alone doing 2 containers a day the more experienced guys do 2 or 4 alone making 200 to 400 daily .
as far as partners are concerned just learn as many techniques as you can and I promise you as a team you can do 4 Containers in 6 to 8 hours! Making 200 a day as a team 
The key to be successful in this trade like any other trade is to speak up and ask to learn new ways to do your job faster and promise you will 48 to 55 thousand a year and it can only increase from there 

Working with ECM is hard work physically, as is any warehouse job.
They dont pay per hour, but paid per job, which can be a good thing if youre not slow or lazy, earning potential is good if youre quick and focused.
If you break down your pay for the "Average" warehouse worker it works out to $19-$20/hour, if youre fast as I am, I make about $30-$35/hour
Not the right job for people that are not physically fit, or people that want to coast by. 
Management are friendly and helpful. 

In terms of warehouse jobs, Id put ECM in the better end.
Some jobs are super easy and some jobs are difficult, but that is warehouse work. if youre not willing to work hard you wont succeed.

They helped me out a lot during COVID as jobs elsewhere were not easy to find.


No work structure or pay structure, different every time payis 55 dollars a trailer and some can take 8 hours with no bonus or benefits, lacking in safety and professionalism wait for work loads to show up on site without pay or any kind of apologies training for new people is a joke literally everyone that's been there longer than a day ends up training new employees .subcontractors that sub out the already subcontracted work and when you ask any question that deserve answers they describe them as out burst not recommended to work for this company unless u have time to waste and don't mind a rollercoaster of paycheques

There are no benefits and no consistent work or hours. The job can  be easy some days and hard on the body others it depends on the location they send you. Offloading floor loaded containers by hand without equipment can be unsafe. The management are horrible and will lie to customers and you at a whim. If they like you, you get containers some days in a week and sometimes a few a day, but if not you can get only 1 a week that pays $100. They dont pay for travel or reimburse you for gas but expect you to travel all over sometimes same day. If you want something temporary or part time you could get lucky and make decent money but otherwise its unlivable wage.

The flexibility, you’re able to have your work fit around your personal schedule.

The most stress would be physical stress cause you need to be in pretty good shape to do the job. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
They’re pretty nice and inviting and they do their best to be understanding if you level with them. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Going to a warehouse talking to the warehouse manager and getting your container doing the container then leaving.

Came in for one day of training. Job was easy. Said there would be work the next day at a different warehouse. Then got a text saying that the container i was supposed to unload never showed up at the Mark's warehouse. And that he would make it a priority to get me work asap. That was 2 days ago and I've been texting for updates about when I'll be able to get some work. And all of my texts go unanswered for days unless I call them. Very frustrating. And very poorly managed. Only had 1 day of work now I'm just being ignored.

It was labor intensive, dispatch system was 50-50 when it comes to proper coordination, 60% of it was unfair workloads no matter if you're experienced or not, and you're sometimes not fairly compensated for your work (because back when I worked here, it was just commission/"piece-work" based).

Inspite of it all, the management is mostly supportive and collaborative, you get a good weight training exercise, physical coordination improves, and good money for those go above and beyond.

the best part was is you had a bit freedom to work where you want

it was not well organized and sometimes you got sent to areas where people wanted to fight you.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
it was ok, they had dinners and other companies event that help the culture of the company

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
you wake up get a message on the app on place you might want to work you accept and go to work and go back home

this place will string you along , use and abuse you until you are not needed anymore. When you start there you get the worst and lowest paying jobs , the worst partners.  You get all the leftovers and partners you cannot communicate with. Any language besides English would be helpful here. They pay you peanuts And expect you to work for minimum wage for 10 or 12 hours a day. They won’t lay you off if they don’t have work. They will just keep giving you one or two days a week to keep you there until you are needed
