Very unprofessional place to work, warehouse is messy all the time, front store area is messy, sales people are unprofessional, and don't know what they are doing. Management is a joke, they don't care about anything other then saving a few bucks. VERY money orientated, the company cares more for its money then you. Don't expect things or equipment to get fixed. Don't expect a raise EVER.

No company lunches, poor wages, shop fills with carbon monoxide in the winter, what safety program is in place is stuff the company made up, not what is actually right.

Shipping staff outside smoking every 20 mins, rude to customers, doesn't know how to drive forklift, late everyday, leaves early everyday. Management doesn't care unless you do something similar.

I enjoyed working for Fleet Brake very much. They are all team players and helpful when I was picking parts as well.A diverse workplace culture with a lot of interesting people from different back grounds. I learned a lot more about heavy duty auto parts Drums brakes and pods. Alot ore pallet work with strapping down and secure load. Do to the economy I was let go without issue and hope maybe one day to find another company as much as I enjoyed my time at Fleet Brake

It's a family like environment, where everyone is treated equally and with respect. I enjoyed the heck out of working here and learned tonnes about shipping and receiving as well as truck parts. Owner as well as managment are more than willing to help when it's busy, and get their hands dirty in the yard!

Promise you the world after 3 months you can command your wage... then literally tell you after.....they lied.  Shop foreman was a real piece of work.  Literally will slit your throat of he doesn’t like you and will get you skidded for making him look bad.  Two faced in every way shape or form.

Too many unprofessional managers that do not listen to employee concerns. No pay raises, no incentives, no rewards for a job well done. No recognition & always asking for more. Favouritism by managers.
Parts drivers are made to drive unsafe 2wd vehicles in extreemly bad weather conditions, & much more.

They always work on productivity, the journeyman don't have time for some help.  They are busy and friendly.
For the practicum, I will not recommend Fleet Brake, you will sweep the floor for all the time you will be there without doing some repairs.

Physical demanding job, but breaks are well spaced during the day.
Professional and knowledgeable staff.
Not a healthy workplace to plan a career.
Lack of resources to do things the smart way.

Lots of heavy lifting, rarely get lunch breaks and money is taken automatically off check weather you get you lunch or not. Pay is not very good can not raise family on wage, not treated fairly. No gas allowance for after hour deliveries. Only good thing is cheap parts for vehicle.

Working at Fleet Brake was a great pleasure. Never a dull moment. Always lots of work to be done. I found the time went by very fast. This job kept you physically fit and the co-workers had a wonderful since of humor

Very dark place to work, filled with cigarette smoke, the mechanics all smoke inside the shop also the the parts sales people, if you’re a cigarette smoking Mcdonalds kid you will fit in, find a real job where humans work not Scum.
