This is a great place to work. Good management who treat the employees with respect. Easy to book days off with little notice and a fair point system is in place if you do go over your allotted weeks of vacation time.

The work itself can be challenging, especially working the early shift at 3 or 4am. Hard on the joints slide hammering headers and pallets but safety is a great concern so rest is encouraged. There is also a lot of opportunity to learn new skills like operating forklifts, overhead crane, welding, trowel work, etc.

The people here are, for the most part, good people who treat others with respect. Seniority rules and if you have it you will have a lot of opportunity to try new jobs and avoid the worst jobs at the plant. 

Cambridge plant managements like to cover things up. Always seem to tell lies . Promotion if you are a " yes " man. Some foremen would never get a job anywhere else with their police records. It's a culture of lies!! 
 35 years of service and not even a call from management when announced my retirement . A lot of good people leaving because of management. 
   They do say they care about health and safety, but during covid , lead hands and safety committyb members not following rules. 
 Used to be a great place to work until current management took over. Hopefully the new buyer will see what is really happening .
  

I have worked at many places and this by far is the best manufacturing facility I have ever come across with respect to work profile. Relaxed production pace with 3 breaks and realistic output targets. They don't turn you into machine unlike most other manufacturing environments.

Forterra is well managed, cares about their employees input towards the company. the environment is a little un healthy due to the concreate dust. the company supplies you with benefits and coveralls. over all its a really good company with a low turnover rate.

Good people to work with, great benefits,wages and pension package
Management is decent just wish is was not unionized. Probably the reason why the turnover is so low.

Not a bad place to work for. The people here are very friendly. Quite the industry you want to be in if you want to learn about underground infrastructure.
