First Ontario Centre

Super easy work, not a lot of hours only when there’s Disney on Ice or multiple shows. The job is super easy to get the hang of and watching shows was definitely a plus! Management barely does anything and will not wanna assist you when you need help (e.a a drunk attendee needs to be taken out their section and they will refuse to call security for you.) Some managers can be very passive aggressive and rude, it’s half and half. Lots of drama between the people working there and the managers have a secret group chat where they discuss the employees! 

It was a good experience getting a first-hand look at the business side of a sports team, in this case, the team was the Hamilton Bulldogs. It was enjoyable knowing the sales you are making is going to charity. The culture was friendly and helpful and I learned a lot of different aspects of sales as well as sales tips. For example I learned to ask questions about what the customer may be into and use that to find something the customer could purchase.

I love working here also, FOC is like my home. I look forward to going to work, I love my co workers, and my employer. I love my customers, and i love the environment so much. Although sometimes it can get a bit hectic, everybody chips in and helps one another, and thats whats so amazing.

mostly overnight work - physically demanding - neat to be involved with stage setup and being able to witness some soundchecks but sometimes expectations of the employees was too much and seemingly disrespectful at times

This was just an interesting place to work for a while, it was nice to be able to be at the first ontario centre and just enjoying all the people and the shows that were going on. It was quite stressful at times as there were so many people trying to buy items at once.

It's a very flexible workspace however there's not that many events so overall you don't make a lot of money. Definitely more of a second job you couldn't live off of just working here. You get tips often are nice but if you don't work in the bar you don't get that many tips tbh.

First Ontario Centre was a great place to work. Unfortunately management was not always cooperative nor were they able to communicate their ideas in a constructive manner.

friendly workers, choose your availability per month, enjoy working there. working with the public so if there are any issues during this job/with this company its mainly due to patrons.

This is a fun and different place to work. Although everyone works very hard when they are there, we all still manage to have fun. Being friendly and welcoming is the most important part of our job.

The place was fun to work at but the customers were quite rude and the auditorium was rarely cleaned so the floors were sticky and the tables were also which made it hard to attract customers
