Flyer Advantage

I sent a couple emails showing my interest in the job and then suddenly one day I got called, had an orientation and then got hired. I have easy access to my boss at relatively any time of day and not once had a problem with management communication.
Work is very physically demanding and very difficult without access to a cart or vehicle. I have to deliver 300+ flyers and often walk 20km in the two day delivery process. Access to a vehicle made the process way easier and saved me 3 hours with delivery.
For me flyers are delivered to my house in bundles usually around Tuesday afternoon - evening, but once on Wednesday morning which made it really hard to deliver on time. Sorting and delivery is over a two and a half day process and for me I have until Thursday at 8pm. Creating a schedule alongside school is very possible but challenging.
In total I work 10 hours from Tuesday to Thursday.
Pay is calculated by weight of the bundles delivered to the carrier or by roughly 20 cents per house. 300 flyers over a 10 hour period pays around 50$. So i make 200$ a month.
Pay is biweekly, always on time and described clearly when you start. Job details and standards are described clearly in the orientation/interview and in the instructional handout given out along with your route lists. Route lists are organized decently well.
Overall this job does not offer much besides easy experience for beginners and highschool students. It doesn't pay well enough in my opinion since a minimum wage job would pay 119$ for 10 hours of work, while I only get 50$ working here.
I'd say apply here only if you are a student aged 15-17 with access to a vehicle and enough time in the week. Any other job is pretty much better, even Mcdonalds because atleast there you make double the money and learn about customer service, communication and team working skills.

I only did this once a week and the first route was on Fridays while the second was on Wednesdays. A typical day at work would consist of putting a paper with an insert of assorted flyers into each mailbox, unless there was a 'No Flyers' sign, and occasionally putting a door hanger on each handle.
I learned how friendly and appreciative neighbors are as well as how to assemble papers and I recieved a taste of what physical labor is like.
The management was serious but flexible when necessary.
I had no co-workers but some of the other employees messed up their routes a lot like not calling in when finished or causing many inconsistant improper deliveries.
The hardest part of the job was having the deliver in the rain, snow storms, or in weather 35 below or more.
The most enjoyable part of this job was getting the exercise I wanted while pleasing other people.

A typical days is burdens are delivered to me, I open them up and put them together for some houses I place in bags. What I learned on the job is sorting, counting, time managing, and stacking. The management side to it is time, weather, and where to put the flyers. The workplace culture is like the weather you never know what's going to happen, there are good day and bad but all that matter is you done job. The hardest part of the job I guess is sometimes the burden's numbers don't match, weather somedays, and people and animals not always happy. The most enjoyable part of all of it is you get out about, you communication with different people and animals. But what I enjoy about it is doing it with people I care about. I admit it may not be the best job but its something that keeps me up and active.

I was told that flyers will be delivered to my place by Tuesday.
I was supposed to sort and deliver them by Thursday evening.
Three times in the span of 5 weeks I worked, that arrangement was broken.
Two times flyers were delivered late and by Wednesday noon, and one time not even by Wednesday evening! For the last case only the excuse was that Monday was a holiday
This work created chaos in my life if you are an organized person. 
If you have nothing to do and no other responsibility and ready to do the work anytime they drop the bundles, then work with a wage less than minimum wage if you like.

Also think about these, before you sign the contract.

1-You may get into accident driving to from the routes. Is this worth?
2-You may get injuries while delivering the flyers. Is this worth?
3-The cell phone number of my route manager was a US phone number! I paid over $18 for roaming texts and phones I had to made to clarify issues with this person! Is this worth?

Working as a Flyer Carrier is a great way to learn a bit what it's like to actually work. You have to push yourself through different weathers and situations in order to get the product to the customer. But that's really only on a bad weather day. You deliver flyers to the subscribers mailbox and keep track of any subscribers that are added or removed from the list. As far as the pay goes, its around 25c/avg made per Flyer delivered. I am given around 3 days to deliver all the flyers and sometimes like this week it can go to as low as one day. But the boss is understanding if another day is needed to deliver. As far as Job Security/Advancement, its really the same thing, same job.

Loved the flexibility although I usually worked in the morning

They deliever the flyers to your door, bring them inside. Organize the flyers (20-40 min). Put them in a wagon. Pull around. If run out walk all the way home and resupply and repeat. The hardest part of the job is the weather. The most enjoyable part of the job is you can do it in any order, any time of the day, listen to music.

Flyer advantage is a great job if you are a full time student, and you just want extra money to spend. 

The job does not take long, and is freeing in terms of when you want to pack and deliver the flyers. By saying that I mean you get the flyers at your house on a Tuesday, in which the agent has to pack, and they have be delivered by Thursday at the latest.

Delivering flyers can be very fun but the one huge problem is the people that bring you the flyers via a truck to your house (flyer deliverers), they can bring it to you at 10am, or at 3pm, you end to sitting there for a while waiting. In the winter they give it to you all wet and ruined, and most of the time the papers are just badly made and half of them are ruined.

I get paid to put the flyers together and to walk and deliver them. I get to talk to my neighbors which always makes my day brighter. I learned not to be shy and it helps with my severe anxiety. I have my supervisor's number if I have questions and he is very nice to answer them for me. Overall experience, I am really enjoying this type of work so far.
