Beautiful scenery. Awful staff accom (tons of people, paper thin walls, morning crew living with night crew). Mostly toxic mgmt (HR, housekeeping is great tho) nothing offered to staff other than some discounted activities they already charge for. FB mgmt is a predator and senior management despite seeing you daily won’t know your name. Not a good place for mental health and tip pooling Is super sketchy. They have a hard time keeping staff because of the way management is and the way they treat their employees 

As an out of province worker coming in, the general public all laughed that I was working here and wished me luck. Seems they are desperate for anyone to hire as they have burned bridges with all local workers due to horrible management/work environment. General feeling of new comers are disposable and core few returning staff hold the value. 
The resto I worked in only carries men's uniforms, and I was given and clearly used shirt out of a bucket in a storage room. 

Being a seasonal job, the hours are sometimes taxing.   On a typical year at the end of the season we will lose people to full-time jobs or school and because of this we have long hours.   It is hard to have anything else going on that needs your attention away from work.   The pay is decent and the coworkers are great.   You get to meet many people from around the world which I love.   Interacting with people and making sure the guests are happy and enjoy their stay is usually very rewarding.

In maintenance you are always doing something new everyday. But the people in maintenance will always talk about you behind your back. If you do something wrong you are made to feel stupid. There’s next to no training and you have to figure out the resort yourself. Management is a joke. It would be a great place to work if there was proper training and proper management in all departments.

Working as a F&B supervisor within fox Harbr was a one time experience that I will never want to go through again. Inadequate training for supervisors and poor communication from the top people in management. 

A HUGE culture change needs to happen from the people in high up positions inside the food and beverage department. 

I was very excited t o go work at Fox Har’b 
I quickly found out that the management, for the most part (with a few exceptions) had no idea how to run a resort. They were very often overbooked, and short staffed. Mainly short staffed due to management treating existing staff so poorly they left! It was not a good experience.

Easily one of the worst work environments I have ever been in they have zero opportunities to Advance in the workplace It is understaffed The coworkers are Insufferable the equipment is outdated and breaks every 3 days I was exhausted every day and had no time to myself the managers are cool tough

but still left a sour taste in my mouth.

Living on the resort is an added bonus to be able to save money over the summer. A great way to work and live cheaply in nova scotia in the hospitality industry. Would recommend having a car as the resort is a remote location.

Some people can crack it here, some cannot. Everything outside of food and beverage seems stable. The work-life balance and team culture is not for everyone. Take heed of the warnings of others. Better than nothing but certainly not the best job one can have.

This is a great place to work, the staff if great and the team building opportunities you get to have with everyone is a great experience. At this resort everyone is part of the team.
Other departments help out when other departments are in need of a few extra hands. This is a great summer job for anyone looking for seasonal work.
