Fusion Jeunesse

Was there 5 years. My program was not tailored properly to their overwhelming demands. The program I was working in was built by people who’ve never done this job so very weird timeline they planned that didn’t make sense. Tried to bring some changes since I knew what I was doing but being the only one saying something about it, they didn’t see the need to change even though everyone else would complain to me about the structure of my program. Well that’s all in the past for me. Don’t work there unless it’s for very little time of your life. You end up giving more of your time then being paid for… And being asked ridiculous new things every year added to your already full plate and no extra hours or pay but the workload get bigger and bigger every year!

The whole Fusion Jeunesse was a great initiave for the youth. They really benifted from the programs and everyone really cared for the kids they worked with. This is a student job so there is no where to advance to in the organization which was unfortunate. They were in expansion mode when I left, and I felt the founder had lost vision of his original intent.

I loved teaching and taking care of the kids, but the administration didn't give us all the tools we needed to make that a smooth experience. We were told that we would be assigned school that are close to each other and to our homes but I had to ride half way across time just to teach for an hour or so, all the while lugging heavy equipment.

This is a great place to work if you care about youth and education,  but it does require you to take on additional tasks that weren’t in your job description. Overall I very much enjoyed my time here & the coworkers are very friendly. 

Great environment of work. You have to be autonome and self aware of all the information you communicate to the kids.It is important to be responsible of your own schedule.
