So, I was hired on the spot after a 1 minute interview that was hardly an interview. I was hired on part-time as a key holder, with the promise to move up to full-time very soon (the manager very unprofessionally informed me she would be terminating an employee shortly, which should have been my first sign), and then soon after I was told she wanted to train me as assistant manager since the one they had would be going on maternity leave soon. Within 2-3 weeks, 2 other employees were hired on with the same promises, and I found out later that another employee was hired before me with the same title and promises, but with a lower wage.
The manager constantly interrupted my sales, and was so pushy that she drove away more sales than she made... All while claiming she was the only one in the store that ever made sales. The pressure from upper management to keep the conversion % up (sales vs. foot traffic) was so high, that we had to pass each other things by sliding them across the entry way floor, or squeezing out the side of the entry way in hopes that the sensor didn't detect us. That's really great when more than half of our stock was off site. The other portion of the stock was in the painfully cramped back room with giant sliding shelves that I had to literally climb to reach the top of. The only reason it was accepted in the mall inspection while I was there, was because they insisted they would be renovating very soon. Otherwise I'm sure the store would have been shut down as it was very dangerous. In my few weeks there, I had many cuts and bruises to prove it.
Hours were terrible. When I was hired, I gave 2 evenings a week that I was not available, and was told it wasn't an issue because she wanted me for day shifts. In about a week, I was being scheduled for all evenings, and told that that's what she hired me for, and it was pretty much always on the evenings I wasn't available. I was then told that I HAD to change my plans (daughter's music and sports lessons) because they needed me. If I wasn't being called in to cover shifts constantly, I was being sent home early or having shifts cut because sales were so low.
Store manager was a blatant liar, and a gossip, and regularly threw staff under the bus to upper management to make herself look better. I'm pretty sure the assistant manager was going on maternity leave very early not because of complications, but because working there was a danger to her physical and mental health, and pregnancy. Upper management would send hourly verbally abusive emails to store management if sales weren't where they wanted, and if sales happened to being doing well, it was a simple, "Thanks.". There was no encouragement, praise, or appreciation, only telling you to do better. One staff member was regularly sent to organize stock in the off-site stock room, and then berated when her sales weren't as high as other people's. None of the staff were ever happy to come to work, and while it often sucked to have hours cut because we were there for a paycheque, not for fun... We were always relieved to have to spend a little less time there.
It's no surprise that Geox's stock has been consistently falling over the past year considering this is how staff is treated.

On the plus side... I got a free pair of shoes. That I was forced to wear even though they were uncomfortable and caused me a lot of knee pain. Also super ugly, cause we weren't allowed to get a decent looking pair for free. Wonder why? I left mine there when I quit.

it is important that i review what needs to be done in each day urgent and important tasks, urgent but unimportant tasks, and non-urgent but important tasks. Tasks in category one need to be done first. Tasks in category two need to be addressed but should not overwhelm me. i Make time in each day to address tasks in category three.The important key to success is to accurately identify the proper category of priority in a daily basis

I love my job, but the hardest part of my job is letting go. I am a perfectionist. I mean, give me 24 hours to work on a cake & I'll spend every last second ensuring its flawless.

well for the most part i was the one to put alarms on the merchandise   and present the products in such a way that once you walk into the store you would notice the items right away. i learned how to price the products, share valuable knowledge with customers about what the products are able to do for them when applied properly; learned how to showcase the merchandise and alarm them. My co-workers were very friendly because majority of them were females and they were really cool. They showed and taught me that it takes a lot work to make look them look beautiful and extremely gorgeous. The most hardest part of the job at times was when i had to attend to multiple customers at a time due to the few sales associate on the floor This taught me how to manage my time with each customer and how to multi task effectively. The most enjoyable part of the job was the environment and the customers that walked through the doors everyday. To be able to help them, explain and show them what a particular product could do for them-if its done right made their eyes light up in excitement; that moment is the reason why i like to be friendly and interactive with them, because it shows that being human with compassion goes a long way..

A typical day of work consisted of me having to call into the store 2 hours before my shift was supposed to start and ask the manager if they wanted to me come into work. If they did, my shift would start off looking at the stores budget and my sales quota. After working for about a month, the was told that I was supposed to sell 3 pairs of shoes per transaction, and to push sales and the sole technology. The management could be difficult to work with as we did receive commission, and sometimes the management would take customers from me which meant that I couldn't earn my commission. The management would get frustrated if we didn't make our sales quota, and could be quite condescending. The workplace culture was a very high pressure sales environment; we were expected to try to sell to every customer and push customers we were working with to purchase multiple pairs of shoes. The hardest part of the job was the sales environment; it was very high pressure. The most enjoyable part of the job were some of the people I worked with. A few of the other sales associates were very nice and personable and I enjoyed working with them because they were very helpful with showing me the ropes.

After leaving the company about 6 months ago I find out the incorrectly submited my records to the government so my ROE is incorrect and I can get no one from GEOX that is useful to help me with this issue.
I was hired by a guy manager who knew what he was doing and did his job very well considering what I saw from the other two managers. After he quit the new female manager was clueless and lazy eventually got fried I was transfered to the Southgate location and the female manager there only cared about how she looked in the mirror no self-confidence in my opinion  especially considering she pretended to know what she was doing and really didn't all she was worried about was when her weird boyfriend came in that's it she would talk about you behind your back and leave all the time it was very strange it was like he controlled her or something. And as for the DM he hated his job you would get lied to and have constant pressure or sale you would be fired company is a complete mess and will go bankrupt. 

I was a key holder at one of their locations and it was easily the most stressful and toxic work environment I have ever been employed in. Management (from upper management to store managers) have unrealistic sales goals for their staff and get agitated at staff for not meeting their delusion goals. A lot of pressure is put on all staff to force customers to buy their products. As a key you were also on call basically all the time. The store manager at this location was horrible, he did not know how to properly manage the store or the staff and treated his staff extremely poorly both in private and in front of customers. If you are going to run a company I would advise you to learn how to speak and interact with people first before anything else. The only thing that made this job tolerable for three months were my co-workers - that is it.

Working here is actually stressful. The management worry so much about conversion, shoving it down your throat. You have a budget you have to meet and if you don’t they don’t like it and might even say something. The pay is straight trash (you don’t even get student wage), discouraging you from even wanting to work. The store manager has no idea how to run a business and has no acknowledgement for boundaries. The HR is even worse full of people who stress out workers and have entire disregard for constructive criticism; complete disregard for external reasons and only focus on the numbers. The work environment is toxic as since it is a commission based job, people fighting other people over customers because the base pay is so bad. I will most definitely not recommend you work here

This was my first ever retail job in Canada. Honestly, the best part about the job was the manager. He was amazing at his work and cared about the employees. If it was not this manager this job would have been a nightmare. I feel the management above the store managers is broken. This company has less then 15 stores in Canada and they try to put more and more pressure on the store staff just to meet goals. 
My experience there was amazing as my colleagues and manager was super cool. Talking about the job itself is that you get minimum wage and 2-3% commission based on the products. You could make good commission based on you sales. 
Overall job is straightforward, you have to make sales and you are given daily and weekly targets. also 40% employee discount. 

Geox is a company that wants you to sell to every single customer that walks in through the door. But what they do not understand is that everyone is not  there to buy. The upper management will only blame and argue with the workers without understanding or listening to them. The only thing that makes working for the company bearable is having a staff that enjoys working together. Customers are nice, but its hard to sell to them because a lot of the time you don't have their size available. Also the return policy is completely ridiculous. The only thing you learn to do is make sales because if you don't they won't keep you around.

Starting new projects : analyse the client's requests, translate it into a IT SDLC project, identify the human resource and tools, calculate the costs  and deadline, document it, approve the project,  develop it, check the status, follow the startup 

The biggest advantage of this work is dcumenting myself and learning about the all bussines flows of the company I am involved.

The most satisfying part of this job is improving and semplifying the company's work bussines
