What is the best part of working at the company?
Was ok for awhile if like to be micromanaged if you like to be told all is good great job and then wtf are doing /thinking how dare you male a decision and the next day being told we trust decision making skills your decisions are always right over worked terrible shop condition under paid 
Old boys club I would have a great deal of difficulty recommend this place without a change in mid management people

Everything never enough people time or parts

Do more with less and male sure you don't say anything

Stressful dirty disorganized do more fo more and don't lead at all just do as your told micromanaged

Very stable here, there’s never been a layoff even during Covid-19 shut downs. It is a fast paced environment, very busy at all times, but you never get bored. Management seems to care, they are always planning employee events like breakfasts, lunches and BBQ’s. If you have any issues you can always talk to them as well (management), there’s an open door policy. If you put your time in, there are opportunities to grow, mostly into heavy equipment operating or trades. 

job  and hours are ok but the culture there is terrible. everyone is miserable labourers are treated very poorly buy operators, they handle worker disputes and disciplinary acts very poorly and leave you scratching your head asking why? maitnance is terrible and everyone is very underpaid especially if you are a labourer. I will be quitting soon and dont recommend working here. no pay raises after 2 yrs. the only good thing about the job is being home at night but the low pay checks reflect it

Absolutely nothing. This company only benefits for itself. Being the group of owners.

Outdated transport equipment. Constant breakdown of units and trailers.

Too much department conflict. Every department thinks they are more important. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Chaotic and unknown. Never know when you were done.

When I first started with this company I will admit I felt welcomed.
It was not until I realized that concerns and hazards were not being dealt with, that I started to see the whole picture. The truck are for the most part in decent repair however it took 4 month to fix my AC. Most of the ground crew are good people and helpful. The office staff seem a bit clicky. The hardest part of the job was figuring out how to grade the loads of steel we were bringing in to the yard.

Kept waiting for the better days to come  they didn’t 
Good place to work if you like being home everyday , with weekends off and being broke 
The perks eventually don’t add up to lack of funds 
And after multiple years asked for a dollar and was completely ignored by management
They didn’t even respect me enough to say no  

That was it I left 

Can’t believe I waited as long as I did

Good people to work with and the environment is not to bad

The lack of good equipment and direction from some of the leadership

Good enough some improvements have been made

Good and steady sometimes a bit faster or a bit slower

I was only here for four months as part of a student co-op. In my short time here, I was treated very well. Everyone is so friendly and positive.

The only bad thing about it, which is not their fault, is the location of the building. It is a 20-minute walk if you take transit. 

Besides that, it is a great place to work, with good benefits.

A productive atmosphere with open and honest communication.  A  good work/home life balance,  
compassionate team members.  HR does a lot of employee engagement events.  The office layout is not the best for privacy.  Which makes it easy to get distracted by noise levels or people constantly walking by.


Best place I've worked. Very family orientated and great coworkers. Very approachable management and open door policy. Very family oriented and concerned about your welfare.
