It was a nice place to work for in the beginning. I had wonderful colleagues from R&D/QC/QA/IT/Production/Shipping/Customer Services/HR. Many of them are down to earth, funny and willing to shield me from trouble. They made my days went by extremely fast. I actually hoped to come to work everyday and socialize with my colleagues. Since I worked in R&D lab, I was allowed time to try and explore different things out for the lab. It was a perfect role for me to hammer my skills and learn new aspects. Many employees are very generous to their social responsibilities (donate toys, food, stationary items for kids and family in need every year). I'm honored to be part of it and give back to the society. Company events are fun to participate too (delicious pot luck, christmas bowling etc.) People work 9 hours from Mon to Thurs, and have a shorter Friday. I got to attend personal matters on friday  afternoon without using accumulated vacation or sick days.  I never expected to stay with the company for my entire 30-40 years of career, however, I did hope I could stay for many years to come. Unfortunately its management system still needs a lot of active improvements. Quite a few passive aggressive employees are on critical roles to prevent the company to evolve to a relatively modernized pharmaceutical/medical device company. Without positive modernization, the company will always have financial struggling moments from time to time. As a subject matter expert on pharma quality/R&D lab issues, my words/reports all meant nothing under the influence of passive aggressors. Disguised retaliation, personal salary info  leak and discussions among certian groups that lead to low morale and bad productivity, slacking off leaders were not treated seriously by the management. Instead they protect or even praise the wrong doers for being in the company. Some leaders and employees by GMP definition are not qualified to take on the roles they were given such as leaders and designates have no experience, education level or both in managing GMP department. Germiphene is definitely not a low rating company in my opinion, but it has to be on constant alert to deal with inappropriates for the better future of the company and its employees.

- not allowed to speak with anyone during work time....questioned on many occasions even though it was about work
- if I left my desk for any reason I was questioned where I had been (even though it was to get supplies or info on other business issues)
- written up for being 1 minute late on many occasions even though the CEO's clock was set wrong
- given work to do when it was quitting time just out of spite
- Upper Management played favoritism with certain employees and fired others for no reason at all

Its a good place to work to gain experience for a initial start up after education. But their is no increment in your salary as the company is a private based company and you are not appreciated for the amount of hardwork you put in to get the outcome. I learned almost all the things about a quality control department. how the testing is done and etc. the hardest part of the job is the salary and inequality. most enjoyable part is that its less stress, but not enough salary as per your experience and education.

Found it very childish, unorganized and unprofessional. Pushed Sales Associates to educate the offices on Infection Control, Whitening ( ineffective product with minimal results) as well as Waterline care and disinfection as well as water testing. The offices expect a lunch at the “ Lunch and Learn” but they stopped providing that which definitely impacted sales. 

I had an extremely negative experience working at Germiphene. I would not recommend working here mainly because management creates a toxic environment.  The people were great but I couldn't handle working for the CEO. She has a very old school management style and runs the business under highly unethical behaviour. I am surprised that the MOL hasn't intervened yet to be honest.

I enjoyed working there very much, until the sale.  I really loved the people I worked with.  The former CEO made the company a great place to work, with putting the integrity of the company first and making sure that the employees, for the most part, enjoyed their work environment.

I also love that we get off early every Friday. Germiphene has great benefits, and an employee recognition program. 
The hardest part of the job is volume of work vs. the amount of staff. 
Every workplace has its "drama" Its whether or not you choose to participate in it that matters. 

Always under scrutiny.  There are spys throughout the company keeping an eye on you.  If you are 1 minute late you are written up.  Upper Management ( that's the CEO) needs to take a coarse in "management skills" because she has NONE.

We filled fluoride and freezing gels for dentists offices as well as cleaning supplies for dental equipment. Staff and management were friendly. It was something different for me at the time and enjoyed working there. until i was fired for who i associated with.

New techniques and instruments to learn 
Comfortable working environment with good management 
Working shift hours were not too long with morning and afternoon shifts
