Givex has a fast-paced environment and team members are constantly learning. It is common to hear senior members of the team saying they are still learning new things in a daily basis.

The clients are top priority and deadlines need to be met, and commitments need to be kept. In all departments this is crucial. Communication with clients and follow ups on the status of their requests are part of the day-to-day. Clients are time sensitive but also appreciative of the team effort.

Team members are reachable and always willing to help and mentor newer members. The team is always busy (and the days go fast because of that), but there is always time to help teammates when there are doubts. As mentioned before, this is constant and non-stop learning, one day you help and the other you will be helped. A real team feeling.

If you are looking for a pin-pong table, video games, or working from home this might not be the place for you; but Givex has a nice team atmosphere and career progression to offer if your plan is to build a career and work hard for it (it's common to see fellows moving between departments or being promoted).

I would recommend working at Givex.

They try to pose as a startup, innovative and young company but turns out that it is only a call center in which your primary (and only work) it's taking calls all day long and answering questions about gift card balances, how and where you use it and troubleshoot errors on card machines.  
No training nor documentation on anything and management team (if there are any) don't care with you or on what you are doing, as long as you are answering your calls and logging everything in the 15 years old internal platform. Zero opportunities to learn and to grow whatsoever. I had friends there suffering for anxiety, panic attacks, new employees very often did not show up on the second day of work! There's no coffee or any other perk in the office, they offer water (hot and cold) and fruits like banana, banana and bananas. Oh, sometimes oranges and apples too!

Training is very very poor no documentation on anything and expectations are very very high.
There is no real management over there, very unprofessional, zero support, guidance, or feedback.

9 hour days
Micro management - including advising employees that they are not allowed to smoke on breaks (if you smoke you wont last long)
No advancement unless you work for the day team
No Microwave 
Expect to have your lunch thrown out if anyone can smell anything at all

The office is beautiful, located downtown.
There is free fruit available and they observe a scent free zone if you're allergic to smells (not just perfume they reserve the right to fire anyone who smells of anything including medicines like vics vapo rub).

I thought the money offered for the position was worth it, but after seeing a fellow employee have 3 crying break downs in 4 months I realized it wasnt worth it.
 Everyone on my team was miserable and is looking for other jobs, and even willing to take a pay cut for a more positive work experience. 
Upper management is very disconnected from our department.

Teams and job duties and boundaries are not well defined, training is scarce and compensation is below market.
Nice offices and overall nice co-workers.
Excesive micro-management style and leaders think that power is exercised from impositions and rude attitude towards their subordinates.

Too much micro management, they have no idea what they are doing, besides to treat employees very bad, and they are rude. 
Training is very very poor and expectations are very very high.
Salary is below average.
Long hours of work. No overtime. Poor insurance.
With time you get more work to do but salary doesn’t change much.

Hours are strict, poor vacation/sick time policies. Minimal flexibility with these policies, resulting in limited potential to have work/life balance. Too much outdated thinking within organizational and leadership structures. Focus on employee wellbeing and compensation are sorely lacking. 

Good work and personal life balance. But salary wise it's not good. Work environment is fun and non hectic. No microwave and No coffee machine that's what Givex is famous for :P 

Company does not have the culture to have their employees happy, these days what employees are looking for is financial stability to support their family , with this company you won't get that
