If you don't mind being worked into the ground and being appreciated very little, this is definitely the place to be. 
The techs, shop help and store management were hit and miss as to whether you could get along with them or barely tolerate them. Going above that to the upper management they themselves were self absorbed and condescending or just straight up incompetent.
The job itself isn't difficult, but not easy either as the company greatly overbooks and overworks their staff regularly. The overtime is, to an extent, alright as long as you don't have much of a home life or like to make plans after work. Being tasked to perform like that on a daily basis for an unappreciative company isn't really worth it. The only good part was the pay and the techs you worked alongside if you could get along with them in the first place. Everyone is disposable here and you get treated like it.

Worked as installer assistant for only two months, but quit because of the blue-collar culture, and lack of communication with the management. This a company that’s best suited for a someone who’s anti-social, as most of the installers are exactly that, and walk around like they hate their job every day. 
You’ll get plenty of OT here, forced to work it or get reprimanded if you don’t. The good thing is you’re always off around 6p, so you can still have some sort of work-life balance. Not much training is given, so know what you’re doing before you apply. And job security doesn’t exist - they fire most assistants come October, so don’t expect a long-term job here.

Negative reinforcement starts from the very top and snowballs very quickly downhill. I've watched a lot of good people quit, and more let go, from what I witnessed first hand. All by a company unwilling to actually think about it's people first instead of pretending.
Very much expected(forced long hours) with no reward for work/life balance in the summer.
No hours(for installers) in the winter, management was still expected to work the same.
A virus culture.
Consistantly passing blame.
Just not willing to do what's right for their employees, management or installers.

Every single shift started with a good morning from the manager and the staff. We would load the van with the tools and windshield that we need for that day and finish the job on time. If anything did not go according to plan, we would stay until the job is finished. The hardest part of the job is when working under the sun in a 30+ Celsius weather and the most enjoyable part is working with the workers there because they are respective, fun, and easy to work with.

I spent most of the day by myself repairing rock chips for companies that had contracts with Glassmasters, I enjoyed that because I could focus on my work with no distractions. I learned how to repair rock chips on windshields, how to 'up sale' a purchase (add items to an order for a better sale). Management was effective and helpful, co-workers were dramatic and held petty feuds with one another. The hardest part of the job was a lack of A/C in the car while working a summer job, but other then that I enjoyed most of everything.

Keeping up with preparation for 4+ installers by myself, sometimes go on the road for on site replacement, greeting the occasinal Customer, fixing chipped windshields, 

Multi-tasking and monitoring other workers to see where I should be and prioritizing what needs to get done next, Working in a team based environment  

Friendly fun co-workers, made working there fun and upbeat even when working long hours or super busy days.

I worked here for a short time and the only good thing I can say is that the company events were fun. It's definitely a toxic workplace and no work life balance. Forget putting your family first. DO NOT ever bring your concerns to HR or it will compromise job security. There is no break schedules so coffee and lunch breaks usually don't happen. Expect your schedule for the week to be changed constantly. 

I was lucky enough to get a good installer who turned out to be a really good guy who made the job fun, it was like being paid to hang out and drive around for most of the day with a friend. He taught me a lot about work ethic and how to make the best of what you were doing and to have fun with it.

Typical day at work includes getting to work, finding out what you are doing and where you are going to do those tasks and receiving more tasks throughout the day until management allows you to leave. Long hours and good pay, you need to have a good amount of endurance and speed to be able to compete in this job environment.
