I started here as a temp through a local agency. I had previously worked many many long hours for many many years in production roles. I am not a young man anymore, and was looking to scale back and take it a little easier before retirement. I asked for a simple General Labor job and 8 hour shifts. Took the job in the Assembly room at Global Med. At first everyone was very nice, the work was decent and I felt I had found my place, but over the next 6 months there seemed to be increased scrutiny, criticism, and snarky remarks concerning my performance and speed..Also, there was clear favoritism with the women seemingly garnering greater attention and training. By the 7th month I was yanked out of Assembly and - you guessed it - out to the production floor and 12 hour shifts. I was a tall man working in a predominantly female factory, and as such I think that's maybe why they perhaps thought I'd be better suited working out on the floor. I tried it but the longer hours and the fact that the workstations in production are low off the floor and fast paced, it killed my back. And then there was the matter of the so called "breaks". 10 minute breaks were a joke and you get 20 minutes for lunch, barely enough time to heat something up and scarf it down. Much is expected and the pay is pathetic. Do not recommend this place at all unless you are desperate.

Global Med provides a work environment that is fast paced and revolves around traditional factory work schedules of midnight's, afternoons, and days. I was lucky to be on the strictly days rotation, but oftentimes was expected to come in beyond my allotted shifts as a result of a heavy work load and no other shifts being provided within the department. Having to pick up the slack with limited support, the management above me were always expecting more than what was achieved in any given day. Nonetheless, I remained consistent in my work ethic and never missed a scheduled shift in the entire time that I worked for the company.As well, I enjoyed the variety of work in the fields of shipping, receiving, and preparing orders while under the employment of Global Med. The fact that there was limited time to plan ahead given the requirements of my position, I feel this worked against me and limited my ability to achieve maximum potential at the workplace.

12-hour rotating shifts, 2 weeks 7 am-7 pm, 2 weeks 7 pm-7 am.  Work was 3-4 days a week, every other weekend off. There was the opportunity for overtime after being trained. The company was behind on orders so some supervisors overworked the people and machines. I attempted to speak to HR and was not able to get through. If you can handle long hours, rotating shifts and are able to say no and stand up for yourself you won't be part of the high turnover rate. The most enjoyable part of the job was knowing that most of the tubing and equipment saves and improves the lives of others.  The hardest part was the long shifts and the heat.

Pros: 
- Easy work to learn
- If you’re a dedicated worker you’ll have opportunities to move up slightly
- The floor workers are generally good people 
-Shifts were always consistent, no overtime or call-in’s
-Decent benefits

Cons: 
- Pay was the worst in town
- There’s no company loyalty to the workers; they’re not afraid to fire you over the smallest things even if you’re regarded as a good worker by people on the floor. 
- Office staff is known for giving people a hard time. 
- Pacing can switch between insufferably flow or ridiculously fast
- Extremely hot during the summer, and if people complain they’ll put the thermostat in the coolest place of the plant and try to dismiss us. If you’re prone to migraines, heat stroke, asthma, or passing out due to heat I would advise you to stay far away 


A typical day at work is both busy and fast paced. I learned many types of tubing we make and use as well as the proper way to pack them and inspect them for any errors. The management was run well and everyone had done there job very professional. we had a wide mix of different cultures in the workplace doing many different jobs around the factory. the hardest part of the job is when the tubing will not fit properly in the box due to many situations i.e. wrong size of tubing or box or not properly put in the box by the previous person. the most enjoyable part of the job is getting to learn the many types of tubing and what they are used for as well as know that you are doing something for someone else.

There isn’t one .  Way to much bullying goes on by people there

typical day was molding medical cpap tubing for respiration machines. learned alot about fabricating medical tubes and what discrepancies to look for. Management tries to be understanding. Co-workers are extremely helpful in knowledge and assisting. Hardest part is quality inspecting tubes to make sure they are safe. Enjoyed being able to make tubes that help many people.

Worst place to work they are not organized in there and use staff to do extra work which is never appreciated for its all about numbers for them it the worst place to work in Trenton they make you believe they are there to help but never appreciate your value go to McKesson or drossbach instead Globalmed needs to get rid of alot of bad management staff or close their doors down and FYI the culture experience is terrible stay away  please

Good work life balance with flexible hours and compassionate towards taking care of family. Very good balance of work and social life balance at work which creates an enjoyable team oriented environment. A bit of disorganization in overall structures and goals of company as it is growing rapidly but allows for independent and creative work. Salary could be more competitive.
