A typical day. I'd start by making sure both kitchens had coffee going and all the kitchen supplies were filled. Example; sugar, sweetner, stir sticks, anything that revolved around coffee. I'd do this in both kitchens. I'd set up the boardroom(s) if there were meetings and put out all the food and drinks. I set the table up with all the utensils they needed such as plates, forks, napkins, cups, coffee mugs, milk, sugar, and anything they needed. I'd put out water bottles for those that didn't drink coffee.
What I learned was how to manage my time because there were days when I needed to be in three places at once. It always depended on how many people were having meetings. I was responsible for both kitchens so I was always running in and out of them to make sure everything was going smoothly. I also had to learn how to deal with many different personalities. The office was large and most people were fantastic but some were more difficult and I had to learn how to please a lot of people.
Most of the people there were amazing. That is actually what I loved most about Goldman, Sloan. The law clerks (mostly women) were wonderful, hard workers and going into work was never a chore. I truly enjoyed working with these people. My favorite person was actually my boss.She was incredible. I never had such a wonderful woman to work for before. She made you want to do better. I thought the world of her.
The hardest part of my job was all the running around it required. Some days ( a lot) of days I barely saw my desk. It was physically exhausting at times.
The most enjoyable part was the people. I got very lucky working with such great people considering the office was so large.

•Set up and maintained paper and electronic filing systems, records, correspondence and other materials;
•Typed, edited and revised documents, letters, memos, contracts, agreements and transcripts of audio 
recorded interviews with witnesses; 
•Operated Microsoft Outlook for email correspondences among internal staff and external clients;
•Provided administrative support such as making photocopies, scanning documents, sending faxes, and printing materials for management  on a daily basis. This also involved printing, copying and scanning various documents for training manual / binder creations. This experience has made me very comfortable with using a wide variety of standard office equipment;
•Received incoming mail, prepared and dispatched outgoing mail, interfaced with selected couriers to ensure packages are delivered within established timeframes;
•Arranged for filing and serving of documents with courts;
•Organized and assembled document books, such as Affidavit of Documents; 
•Deposited funds and arranged for payment of invoices, prepared pre-bills and billings; 
•Assisted on numerous high-volume, time-sensitive and confidential projects by scheduling appointments and coordinating travel arrangements, conferences, and meetings;
•Assisted and provided back-up during absences to ensure ongoing administrative support: performed administrative duties with respect to accounting, opening and closing files, docketing, billing, etc. 
•Organized and maintained client files; 
•Communicated with clients and lawyers in a professional manner.

Worked for a great construction lawyer who then resigned.  HR support is terrific.  Legal assistant pool is very helpful.  Could use extra help with photocopying/binding jobs so the assistant can work on other matters.

I found that not all staff are equally/fairly compensated for the workload they have along with the extra work that is put on them. There is help given to those who complain, but those who struggle are not given any assistance.

Completed a variety of tasks mostly related to commercial real estate files.  A friendly place to work.  Lawyers there are generally on the older side.  Generally little overtime had to be worked.

Strong management style with attention to customer service, in-depth knowledge of business and strong partnership building models with government and non-government organizations.

I worked for GSNH for over five years. It was a great place to work with many opportunities. It was a hard move to make but I am ready for a new challenge.

I have never worked at a more enjoyable organization. Days go by fast as your constantly busy, but not over worked and stressed all the time.

Must be a hard worker. Relaxed environment.  Friendly staff. Company perks such as bagel Friday, birthday cakes, etc.  Close-knit firm.  Everyone is friendly.
