Troughout my tenure with the federal government, I was able to work in the English and French language, which is an asset.  I was recruited at 19 years old and benefited from the experience of more experienced co-workers.  I travelled to different sites as I was employed by a national historic site and it contributed to enlarge my network in the workforce.   I also dealt with schools and other institutions which help me grow.

I worked for the federal government for more then 15 years and I decided to change my venue after all their budget cuts because of it wasn't giving me the satisfaction that I needed to get up in the morning the stress that it involved was getting nowhere. that is wy I decided to work in the food industry there is stress but at least you are pleasing somebody at the end.

The Federal government provides a safe environment for his employees.

The benefits and the job security are incomparable to any other companies.

You need to be inclined to self motivation.

Good work life balance. Salaries are good, you have a good pension if you retire from there. The only thing is that not all managers are educated so it reflects on their management.

The people and salary are great, but to the pace is so slow and boring. There is also a lack of flexibility. Plus, the unclear direction of projects gets really annoying when you are an action and structured person.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Structure set up to work within..clarity of job description and work hour times to a degree.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
None really. Very little stressful situations.

Incredibly kind and hard working people who genuinely want to do well. Overall organization is a bit eastern centric and lacklustre - doesn’t looking at supporting more innovative and flexible approaches. 

At least at ESDC they were flexible with the hours. Get your job done, be happy, be part of the team and it's all great. It was a nice place to work right near metro Berri.

The job is not too complicated, but enough to keep me busy and motivated. Nice salary and benefits. The team I work with has been great as well, very supportive.
