What is the best part of working at the company?
The people were very committed and caring.  Not the leadership, but the workers.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The General Manager was very difficult to work for.   No clear direction and conflicting information were common.  Also he would get very worked up about issues that were not issues at all.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There was a lot of finger pointing and blame between departments when things were not completed on time or accurately.  People were not seen as an important part of the success of the company, but were expendable.  The leadership felt that there was an endless supply of people who wanted to work at the company.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A great deal of frustration.  Doing the same things over and over again with no one taking an interest to get to the root cause of problems to fix things.  Constantly changing production schedules and improper reporting of usage causes daily stock control issues.

Having been employed at Greco Aluminum Railings in the role of Maintenance Supervisor, I can honestly say that during my time I found the Leadership to be professional, approachable, data driven and future focused. They have an open-minded team approach with employee inter-action and engagement programs. 

The culture of the company has changed from previous years and the current Greco leadership/workforce are committed to safety, customer quality, continuous improvement and predictive maintenance initiatives combined with a work life balance mind-set. 

With innovative products, team concepts and future programs, the forecast for Greco Aluminum is only positive!
 


A lot of good changes since New Management has come in. We have a new health and safety program in effect and things are starting to look up. Still at times there's a shortage of work and then a overload of product at once. I feel that Greco is family-oriented and cares about their employees however they are not competitive with their wages as the cost of living has skyrocketed through the roof. Management can still use some work as I feel cross training for departments was and is still needed.

Greco has been an okay place to work for along time but when the second management team came in things got a lot better, people getting paid more than before. This place has always been a fast pace place to work for, you always have to figure things out by yourself. People on the floor are good people. 
Here come the best part!
Current management “ the trio” do not care about the people at all. ZERO caring. They came in just to do what the corporate wants. Dealing with the sister company in US is a NIGHTMARE! Trust me on this!!! 
HR has no clue how to deal with people. The employees on the floor don’t even know who their HR is. 
I will just leave it at that. Try and you shall see.

Greco could be a great place of employment if all management's planning and decisions were based on realistic goals. Many months of the year, the hours worked in the first two weeks of the month are six to seven a day. Then the third week of the month, up to eight hours a day. Then the Saturday was forced upon the employees with no overtime pay. In the final week of the month, a mad scramble to complete the forecasted goal. At this point, ten hours days are expected as well as mandatory Saturday again. 
A lot more organization is definitely in the best interest of the company.

If you would like to be treated like dog feses and watch project coordinators steal and do w.e they please this is the place for you! I would compare this place (Toronto office) to a kindergarten class. Uneducated management with filthy attitudes. No advancement and alot of fake promises. You will be treated very respectfully from coordinators until you finish a job and then will be treated literally like nothing! Much better opportunities out there than to work for Greco!!!!! I am writing this review to help other people to not make the mistake I made. With management like this the company is on their way to the ground.

The CEO clearly did not have a plan during a period of instability and responded by laying off employees one by one, without clear communication, structure, or empathy. Decisions appeared reactive rather than strategic.

This environment created significant stress and uncertainty for employees. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company to carefully assess the leadership style and organizational stability before joining.

Greco has a lot to offer if you’re a self sufficient driven person who loves problem solving. Changes to their corporate structure is pushing this company into the future, a lot is changing every day for the better. 
If you’re driven, like to own your work and see policy and procedure from start to finish this is a great place.

Run! This place is horrible. Management is terrible with zero skills and  just power tripping. Promises of bonuses but nothing or pennies when it happens. Management treats Employees terrible and they do not care about quality or customer satisfaction. They only care about bottom line.  They have zero work life balance unless you are management. TERRIBLE place to work! RUN!!!!

It was a really great experience. The people were helpful and friendly. It seemed like we were having some function such as barbecues, pig roasts, chili cook offs or lunches on a regular basis. Wages were good and there were yearly bonuses as well.
