As the company has grown, it feels like employees are no longer valued. There’s noticeably high turnover across multiple departments.

Home Comfort Advisors are often sent to appointments where customers have requested services they don’t provide, to bookings that were cancelled but not removed from their schedules, or even to double-booked appointments shared with other Advisors. Expect to spend 1 to 1.5 hours  commuting to and from appointments while being on the road up to 8hrs a day. 

Commission structures are changed without notice, resulting in lower earnings for staff. Even long-term employees who request a pay adjustment—simply to match the original commission structure they started with—are completely disregarded. 

Customers frequently reach out to HCA’s multiple times, asking when they’ll hear from the scheduling team to book their installation. From the initial site visit to the final install, the process is often delayed and disorganized.

There’s no dedicated electrical division for service upgrades—just one electrician handling all related work, which contributes to even longer wait times.

These ongoing issues make it difficult to enjoy the job. What was once an engaging and rewarding role is now overshadowed by constant challenges. Despite the effort you put in, there’s little recognition. You could do the same job elsewhere and be treated with more respect, support, and appreciation.

That the company is still very new and they’re still trying to figure roles and responsibilities.

Do not recommend, they don’t care about their employees. Insurance package is horrible , no one is on the same page throughout the company. Owners only care about how thick their pockets are getting, they have ZERO regards for the people who keep that ball rolling for them. So many things that are getting done or was done that is definitely not legal with the labour board. My advice on this employer, RUN, the other way! 

With very few exceptions (and there are some), this company does not know if it is coming or going. Top level management has no idea what it is doing. Dictate ridiculous policies and strategies to the peons below them. Set up to fail from the start. They like to have their face out there in the community doing some good deed or another,  but do very little good for their own people. There are a few shining gems in the management pools, but generally its a toxic work place to work at.

This is by far the worst management I ever had the chance to work for.  The women running the service department are so over their head. They have zero idea how the industry works let alone how to be a manager.  

The place is zero training yet hold you accountable to the fullest extent. They will gaslight you, undermine you, belittle you. No adult would ever put up with this.

Management is lazy and disorganized. Waiting until the last minute to get or do the simplest of things. Constantly putting work off to office staff while doing nothing themselves. Seems like a great place to work initially, but with their "rapid growth" they change procedure and protocol every few months, and expect employees to do more work for the same pay. 

Greenfoot Energy Solutions is a great place to work if you're not really looking for too much experience. Most of which is heat pumps which as an electrician, doesn't really have much to do with us. The people are very best and managers are pretty well, and the job itself is gravy. Decent pay but could be better.
