A typical workday starts off with making sure inventory is stocked; we need to check if the grocery, items, cigarettes, and lottery shelves and displays are filled and ready. We need to make sure if baking is needed. Chicken needs to be cooked carefully. Then the day proceeds in customer service, while cooking and baking might be on and off throughout the day - sometimes, baking might not even be necessary.

The greatest new tool in my belt is being able to issue fishing and hunting licenses (along with species tags). It's been a popular item to purchase here this year and knowing how to issue the licenses really helps to move the customer lineup along. 

Management is thoughtful and always trying to make things easier for employees. They provide proper training and make sure we understand a task.

The hardest part about the job is forgetting to finish something we might have started. Say, I started to fill up the lottery display halfway through the shift when it became empty again, but someone needed my attention and the lottery is left to be filled for another hour.

The more enjoyable part of the day is hearing all the customer compliments about how this little convenience store has almost everything one might need in a last minute bind.

Very inclusive environment where everyone wanted to work together and provide a great experience for our customers. I learned how to manage my time when assisting customers with their transactions and also keeping up with stocking merchandise and parcels as they can throughout the day. I understand how to work long shifts and maintain productivity in order to achieve the daily quotas of the company. I also have developed superb customer interaction skills from my time here to ensure that every interaction I have with someone is enjoyable and leads to a successful sale.

It was a great place to work as most customers were friendly and always had great stories to tell. We, the staff, all got along well and were always ready to share the workload. Not many places can say that about their work environment. It was only a temporary position but received great satisfaction as the atmosphere was always positive and made the work day go by so quickly.

A typical day at work would include serving and assisting customers, cleaning up around the area, organizing and filling our orders for the employer. I learned that there are so many different types of customers that come in your way, and I now know how to handle different types of people. This also help me improve my communication skills. There was no difficult part of the job except when it got extremely busy because many people wanted many things. The most enjoyable part of the job was being there. The environment was great and my boss was very nice.

Nice place to work and meet people. I learned how to deal with all kind of customers. You can depend on your co-workers. There is no hard thing about working at the store, but I have to memories over 2000 products where they are in my store and their prices and I have to direct my customers to these products. Also I have to do recommendations for my customers, beside doing cleaning, handling money, and keeping the store clean for the customers and the products available to the customers.

i would sweep floors restock shelves and record the stock in the back. i learned that being independent is a very good personal skill to have so that you know no one is going to do anything for you you have to do it yourself. management was friendly my co workers where bright minded people who loved to engage in conversation. 
the hardest part of the job was keeping track of stock due to people stealing from the store. the most enjoyable part was i never had to worry about anything .

If you are a student then this would be a good job for you.  After all duties for opening were done and all shelves were stocked, you could study while you were waiting for people to enter the store.  It also gave me the opportunity to deal with many different people, different personality types, which in turn taught me how to approach difficult customers or angry customers.  It also gave me the opportunity to learn how to build rapport, going as far as one customer telling me "I only come here because you work here"

It was convenience store .
I alone managed and billed the accounts.
I loved working at this place , it taught me a lot ,,,,before I used to feel shy talking to strangers but later it was fun.
I managed all the inventory.
The hardest part of my job was when my owner used to ask me to work more than 12 hours a day,
The most enjoyable part was I was the boss , free to work my own way.
