Henley Place

PSWs and Nurses were amazing and fun to work with. I learned so much from all of them. There was room to grow and improve. I'm only leaving because I'm moving outside of London, ON. The staff there care deeply for their residents, and expect new staff to do the same. Moreover, they are willing to ensure new staff are comfortable and capable to give the best care they can to the residents who are comfortable with new faces. I never felt ostracized or excluded. My fellow PSWs will be sorely missed. I wish I could just pack them up with me, and move them to my new house.

Staffing is a constantly changing job, from making a schedule to granting vacation, covering sick calls or any shifts to doing payroll. You learn that you can't plan your day based on what you know you have to do you base it on the needs of the home and whatever challenges face you. Sometimes the hardest part of my job is just asking for help or going to other for guidance can be a key to a successful task.

At Henley Place, as long as you do what your job description asks, your golden. The job is hands-on as a laundry aide and there is a lot to do in the laundry room. The management is nice. The hardest part of the job is making sure that the residents' clothing is completed each day and ready to take to their rooms. The most enjoyable part of this job was working in an establishment that cares for our elderly properly.

I was treated unfair by management. I got fired within 2 weeks of working there. I missed one day ( I called multiple times, no one answered so I went in) I got yelled at by my supervisor, she never let me explain why I didnt show up and it was because a family member died. The nurses complained on me. Told my manager things I never said or did. My manager never sat me down and talked to me about it.

When I started working at Henley places, I so much appreciated the management and system, it could be an excellent rate,  even the place, areas, the fellow workers. they are so kind and generous when you are needed. I am so blessed to be part of henley place before.

So much is wrong with this company.  From people getting fired, no one knows what they're doing, it's horrible and unfair.  Their entire corporate team have no idea how to run this company. They can't keep managers and the residents suffer. 

Great place to work, good management, team players. Clean, respected environment for residents and families. A wide array of recreation programs for residents. Loved everything about this job but wish the pay was higher.

It’s really a very good place to work. You can learn with the team. This teams is really awesome. Managers are supportive, and helpful. You get enough training in work. 

The staff are very helpful and respectful. The management are very friendly and kind. Lovely place and good facilities. They are all industrious and appreciative
