What is the best part of working at the company?
Management are always appreciative of  your performance and always willing to support staff. Office staff are awesome.  It's like a family environment .  I stongly recommend HCA Barrie as an employer of choice.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I never had any stress working with HCA because management was very considerate and understanding.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very good environment.  No discrimination of any type. It's more of a family environment.  Team work was the order of the day.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Fun and loving. Less stressful.  Great clients. Always looking forward to going to work.

HCA Barrie requires operational improvements. Concerns have been raised regarding insufficient community care hours, excessive charges for subpar senior care, and unprofessional conduct and poor communication from administrative personnel. Furthermore, the onboarding process seems inefficient, with unpaid sessions that lack clear and effective information delivery. Additionally, the compensation is inadequate, and work hours are inconsistent, often resulting in canceled shifts and extended periods without work opportunities.
As a healthcare professional, I advise against applying to this organization. If contacted, be wary of any promises made, as they may not be fulfilled.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Would not recommend working for this company,  they don't follow though with what they say when hiring,  communication is non existent and very unreliable schedule. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They lie to you, offer opportunities and tell you that things have changed and you find out later that they just lied.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Doesn't apply really,  but don't expect any type of bonus or appreciation!

I felt very positive initially and my experience was as well. The LTC facility I was placed in was presenting issues after several months and the person who recruited me for HCA had moved elsewhere and so did the support she gave to those of us in the field. I moved to another agency when the situation in the facility I was placed in became unbearable and the support from the agency was sorely lacking.

The company is caring and flexible 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I have not found anything too stressful working for this company.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment varies and culture, but I have not had any bad experiences. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Day can be busy or quiet, it really depends on the client.

Can be called anytime of day or night irrespective of availability.Partiality in shift assignment.Can be removed anytime from clients we are used to without any reason or explanations , which makes it more stressful to go to new client all the time. No or minimum knowledge provided to caregivers about clients requirements or background before sending caregivers which is again stressful for caregivers dealing with uncertain events.

Management is horrible!!! Very high turnover of employees including management.  No respect for employees.  No benefits or sick time.  Hardly ever a raise.  They don’t listen to your availability.  Very disorganized.  If it wasn’t for the clients I would never have worked there.  Underpaid and undervalued.  You can’t work for any employer you get sent to for placement.  Run for the hills !!!!

Incredible place to work! Management is amazing and very easy to approach with any and all problems you might have. They’re very kind to not only the clients but to the employees themselves as well. Very fun job environment with a lot of diverse atmospheres is perfect in gaining a lot of experience. They work around school schedules as well and provide tons of useful training. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here  

All of management is very disrespectful and degrading here. They won’t answer youre emails or calls or help you with any questions you have. They are very disrespectful as a company and I strongly push that you do not work here. Their company has made me very stressed out and I feel very out of place every day. 

HomeCare Assistance is an amazing place to work the staff is amazing including the boss she is amazing iv worked with different people but HomeCare is amazing especially June was amazing she always had the best shifts for me and always gave me option to chose and she listened all time June made my work my work so easy and gave me the places to work all the time 🥰
