What is the best part of working at the company?
Not much honestly its very poorly managed and I don't recommend working here. Maybe its better now. Idk it definitely has potential to be a great place to work.. but its a bit like junior high school

Management and the immaturity and gossiping

Like junior high school  passing contest

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Wait to see if your working get the call that you are drive to shop find out who your working with suit up drive to location do some dirty but fun work wait...wait sometimes wait some more maybe another job  overtime is good then on the way back to the shop you dump your load get fuel  call it a day

I made some really good friends at the time, but it was poorly ran. It was a start up that was not organized/coordinated well.We had no lives because we worked all the time, even when things were slow you still were somehow busy and you needed the down time to recover. There was on call and the schedule was a text message the night before as to when you would come in. You never knew when you finished. Shifts ranged from 4 hour minimum to over 20hrs. Those were rare. But 12+hrs were the norm a lot.  No official lunch break or anything. I haven't worked there in quite awhile, but I think things from what I heard got better. They gutted a lot of problems going on and joined Liuna I believe. Oil patch atmosphere so tough work no matter what. 

If you can put down your head and just be a yes man then you’ll do fine here, if not they will spit u out like gum. Many things promised during the  hiring process by the owners, If u complain or Voice ur opinion you won’t get to far working here, they will find a way to get rid of u, sometimes with not scheduling you. .Or just let u go without a reason. They do play favourites as it’s a family business.People here come And go.bullying in the shop is a big problem by certain guys.owners know about it but turn a blind eye.wouldn’t recommend this place to work.


It's hard to become a part of the group here... As a new person you are basically left in the dark, because they have so many new people going in and out.  most of the operators; (other than the few good guys.) don't want to take the time to get to know the new people. awkward environment to work in. When you work hard, it's often goes unnoticed, and doesnt matter how hard you work for this company they'll eventually get rid of you

The Abbotsford location is horrible.   Their Ops Manager is just a bully who just wants to find anything to act up and yell at someone.  He is just a pumped up blow hard that treats people like minions.  Their employees are all the owners family and friends.  If you get hired, you are immediately an outsider.  You will be blamed for everything that goes wrong, and the other employees will lie and snitch to save themselves.

working with Hydrodig provided great hours. Anywhere from 10 to 15 hours a day can be expected. I worked as a swamper for my time there but i ended up leaving as i had other goals in life than working in or around the oil related establishments. muddy work none the less  if you are looking for year round local work then its your dig.

They think that they are a Top Tier Company, but they are garbage!

Abbotsford office interviewed me & hired me on the spot.
2 days later they called and said they sold their truck and would not be needing me.
Now a week later they're hiring again. Sounds fishy to be. Maybe unorganized. Whatever. If they're that flighty then best to look elsewhere and save yourself the grief.

The pay to deal with such outdated equipment is way behind industry standard. Lowest pay for hydrovacing. No one is happy in the work place and Managment is very two faced. Hard work goes unnoticed. Expected to be available 24/7 and if you aren’t you get all the terrible jobs. No room for improvement and not worth the pay. 

When busy easy to get hours but started to slow down and got let go after month and a half the day before a job I lined up for them, showed up there to find my operator working alone because some new guy called in sick
