What is the best part of working at the company?
IESO is a great company with great culture. The industry is changing and very interesting.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There may be a tendency for some managers to micro-manage, but this is a single experience and does not apply to the entire company.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very positive work culture and great people. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A lot of meetings with little time to do work and meet deadlines.

This place lacks diversity in it's management & leadership. Some POC groups are totally treated badly, this was clearly shown in it's most recent Diversity & Inclusion survey and it does not look like new CEO will change anything about it, yes it's just a check mark for the Board of Directors. Just check the Executive Leadership Team on the website, you will not see a POC, yep this sets the tone for management or supervisor levels below the VPs.

The organization has structural and cultural issues, particularly in leadership and training within the HRIS function. While compensation and benefits are described as average, the absence of bonuses and unclear expectations seem to contribute heavily to dissatisfaction... 

government agency so pay and benefits above average. hard to get into though as it is a unionized environment and only way really to get in is to go in on contract and even then no guarantees.  management was supportive .  a very clean healthy work environment.  work involved preparing detailed reports, supporting director/CFO, administrative duties.

Every level of management is designed to protect itself. No feedback is used for growth in the upward direction. It’s essentially high school. Probably why they failed their Diversity and Inclusion employee reviews and the follow up solutions were never followed up on. 
Great pay and benefits so I guess there’s that. They also managed the stay at home/Covid thing well.Keep my mouth shut and tow the line. 

Very good place to learn. 
There are two issue with this organization. One, unless you are an Electrical Engineer you will not be considered for some of the better jobs here. 
Two, since the pay, benefits and package is so great all the senior employees try to get their kids or other relatives into the organization. 

They mostly hire contract positions because they don't want to spend money on related benefits. No diversity in manager and upper level positions. You can create efficiency and work long hours, the management does not care. Toxic work culture.

QA in charge, does not guide, teach, orient, lead or direct..just demands. Union takes fees since day 1 and protects the company. No room for growth!!

Opportunities for young eager workers. Highly competitive,  difficult to climb the corporate ladder here. Start out in the job you want as you will be expected to remain in it for several years.

Overall okie. everyone that worked around is friendly and helpful. I have learned allot from my seniors and supervisor. the hardest part is obviously to keep your superiors happy wit your work
