At Impres, I have had the opportunity to manage wonderful people who were either starting their career or who were coming back to pharma after being downsized.  The common thread is that everyone wants to prove themselves.  Impres offers ample opportunity to do so!  Management works hard to meet both client and internal employee needs. Impres is a fast paced environment that is full of challenge.

Overall the job was satisfactory. I was over qualified to perform the duties of the job as it was an entry level position. Having 10 years experience prior to joining, I had 6 years experience in a specialty role and large territory management, hospital account management and personnel management.
The position was a contract (short-term) and I anticipated career advancement that would include a full-time position and a higher pay grade. I accepted the position knowing that the salary was half of what my usually career advancement position would be on the belief that my success would allow me to relocate to obtain a managers position. However the contract was terminated premature as the hiring organization that employed Impres Pharma determined they no longer need the contractual sales force.

Company cycles through employees and managers too often, very low pay incld. monthly bonus, no kpi tracking , no benefits, use your own car and vehicle allowance doesn’t fully cover expenses, very high expectations with low pay, foot in the door for pharma industry, work independently everyday and managers don’t bother you much, minimal opportunity for advancement, no development , very very disorganized - no kpi tracking and monthly objectives often delivered 2-3 weeks into the month; get to represent well known pharma companies. Contract based work- have your resume ready

Overall a really great well rounded company. They offer a strong training platform that really sets you up for success and the management team goes above and beyond to ensure that you have all the tools needed and to provide support along the way. They work with a wide range of partners from small specialty based companies to large "big pharma" types of companies. 

They offer opportunities for career growth (some of the leadership team members are former Impres Pharma Sales Representatives!) which I find quite motivating. The company itself is very quickly growing which creates a dynamic and exciting company culture.

It's hard to evaluate a CSO because every partner they secure, which requires a new sales team, could be an entirely different experience.

I had a great one this time, good salary, bonus, car allowance, gas card. Unfortunately, as a CSO the job can be over at any time so it's a risk you have to take when you work there. 

However, it's fantastic for people looking for pharma sales experience, they'll coach you and help you develop. That's the deal really, you have the lower job security, but they'll make you into a better rep if you're inexperienced and it's a good job while they last.

Call on Doctors and manage my territory effectively.
Learned how to gain access to doctors, build relationships and networks with Specialists and GPs. Use Studies to promote products. Organize and populate seminars. 
Helpful team of managers that provide support and training.
Most enjoyable part of the job is getting to know doctors and staff and having them using your product with success.

Very stressful role with no feedback or any formal feedback system. Leader seemed disgruntled when I'd call to improve communication between us or just to get an idea of my progress. Manager rarely ever reached out to me but then also had high expectations on me which required me to work many unpaid OT hours. 

Would not recommend to anyone who wants to be rewarded for their hard work. 

Impres Pharma is a growing company that gives several opportunities to their employees. They have an amazing structure in place that helps with the development of their sales representative from really junior reps to more experienced reps. They promote within the company so this is a great place to be if you want to advance your career. Overall a great experience to work there.
