I'd probably only recommend you work here if its full time, I make roughly $800 a week and overall it's double what I made as a *manager* at my previous job. My manager is nice and my team is very helpful if I'm running past 6pm someone will offer to help out. My average day is 8-10 hours and, though you aren't compensated for gas in the van, I only ever used about $20 worth. Vans are provided to me, only issue there is people leave them a mess and sometimes don't fill the tank, only time I had to fill it, they paid me back for it and they do deduct pay from those who don't fill their tanks. Only issue I really have is my placement in which wave in the morning, 1st could be 6AM or 8AM and that pushes back 2nd wave, could go in as late as 9:30AM if you're 2nd wave and that's a bother because you end up working until 7PM. However I've never worked past 6:30PM. Best day I finished at 3PM and had the whole day. I'd say if you were to work here and are doing Guelph routes, request routes that do not include downtown Guelph. Country side is where it's at. To sum up, management could use some work, some drivers are messy and bothersome, but if you're looking to make up to 3500+ a month, you are able to be up early and you move fast and efficiently, it's a good place to work. It's nice to make 800 a week just driving (I love driving lmao) and delivering packages and especially in these times. I make the 1.35/package without a signature (they claimed it was 1.25 without) and my average load is 130-145 packages. Also has minimal human contact which is what I was looking for because I hate humanity. Overall it's a decent place to work and I find no issues with the pay and my bills and whatnot per month come to 2500 and I still have tons left to save.

Intelcom express is absolutely the worse for a logistic company , there is no organisation at all all the upper brass management are dumb as  a blind man trying to find a corner to sit in !!!! Intelcom Express will never ever be a success , they will never compete with United Parcel service or federal express , or purolator and so on , they contract brokers to hire sub contractors to deliver for intelcom , then the routes are not organised  you start at one end of the city and finish  on the out skirts of the city , they do not care how much fuel you waste , or vehicle maintence the pay is very poor , they 1.25 per package with signatures and 1.15 with out signatures , and 1.00 for a package that is returned because the customers lives in apartment building and can not gain access to the building ... Intelcom promises 35,000 to 55,000 dollars a year baloney,, Intelcom express is unionized company but the union rep never actually works but one day a week , and never ever returns phone calls , or tries to resolve any issues , the customer service reps at Intelcom are even just as disgusting and disrespectful to sub contractors that are delivering packages if there is a problem , customer service reps will call and be very ignorant , and demand that you drop everything and address the issue, Intelcom will hire the cheapest trucking company do deliver the packages to warehouse but the trucking company does not maintian their trucks very well and then there are delays , for few hours , also when the packages are labelled there are wrong addresses ,  with wrong route numbers and delivery order which the package should be going to a customer ,  who ever labels and numbers the packages obviously and clearly do not know what they are doing !,,In short Intelcom do us all a favour and shut down and go bankrupt and get the out of Canada !!! You have failed as a respectable logistics company Amazon were fools to contract Intelcom to handle the packages , !!!

Intelcom cuts corners whenever they can. 

This includes letting people use their own personal vehicles WITHOUT COMMERCIAL INSURANCE (which means that they would not be covered if they were in an accident while operating their vehicle commercially - which may make them uninsurable in the future). 

Intelcom started a branding program advertising that people would be paid to put decals on their vehicles but then Intelcom quickly changed the terms so that people will end up branding their vehicle without compensation.

There is supposed to be a union for the drivers but there is zero union paperwork and you will be punished for any inquiries. Admin fees are also tacked on by percentage so the more you deliver, the more they deduct. They claim they will pay minimums or extra if you take a route out of town but you won't get anything.

One day you could have 50 packages, the next you could have almost 300. You won't be warned either way. You will be discriminated against if you do not blindly follow them. 


The management is incompetent and their contract with Amazon is in jeopardy as more negative news about the Intelcom operation gains media attention.

Drivers are not trained and the warehouse is too small and disorganized. $1 per package is not enough. Good drivers deliver maybe 10 to 20 packages per hour but only if you have a good route. Otherwise you will have 10 minutes or more between stops and you won't be able to deliver more than a few packages per hour. Factor in cost and you will be working for less than minimum wage.


When ordering online, include a comment stating: 
DO NOT SHIP WITH INTELCOM


Look at how many people are upvoting the negative reviews. Hundreds, if not thousands of people have been taken advantage of by this terrible company. The reviews are at every location meaning that the entire operation is broken.

New manager every 2 months. New expectations. Never enough. No thanks. 

I am deeply disappointed with my experience working as a professional at Dragonfly Distribution. As someone who was dedicated to supporting the company’s workforce and fostering a positive and productive environment, it was incredibly frustrating to encounter the numerous challenges that made the role impossible.

First and foremost, the communication from leadership was severely lacking.
Employee contributions were undervalued, and many decisions were made without consulting the department or understanding the impact on the employee(s). The management team was disorganized, and there was a distinct lack of direction, making it nearly impossible to execute initiatives effectively. Your success is irrelevant. Do not believe "people over process" or "hard on process, easy on people" but they are "heavy on politics". 

The company also lacked a true focus on employee well-being. Despite attempts to address concerns related to workload, workplace safety, and team morale, the response from leadership was dismissive. Upper management are very important and you are not allowed to speak to them directly: you soon know "your place". It was clear that the company's values did not align with creating a supportive work environment for its employees, leading to high turnover and low morale across the board. It is regrettable if you quit your job to come here. 

The lack of respect, combined with poor communication, disorganization, and disregard for employee needs, created a toxic environment. I would not recommend working with or for Dragonfly.

If you take the job, you will work as an independent contractor delivering Amazon packages. Intelcom has the Amazon contract that they divide between different contractors who then hire independent subcontractors for the delivery. You get paid $1.25 per package, $1.35 if you get the signature of the person you delivered to. Average daily route is between 120 and 140 packages, so your daily gross is between $150 and $189. You pay for your own gas, but they provide the vehicle. I averaged around $20 in gas daily. The stress is that you need to load up the vehicle in the morning (60-90 minutes), do the deliveries (I was able to do 15-20 per hour) and then return to the depot with undelivered packages. Do the math, but count on 10 hour days. 
There are also several risks to bear, other than driving. You are being a distracted driver, since you need to continuously verify the next address and input the required data onto your smartphone (you work with a downloaded application). You tend to drive without a seat belt. All the packages once loaded into the vehicle are the driver's responsibility. If a package is stolen (not delivered), the driver may need to pay for it. Your smartphone will wear out as the battery is used up everyday and people sign their names on it. You are also responsible for your data costs (GPS and constant upload of data).
Recently, I saw this job advertised with potential of making $75,000. That is impossible. It translates into delivering 158 packages each day for 365 days. It does not account for your gas costs, which would be about $7,300. This is unrealistic. I made about $28,500 per year after subtracting gas costs. 
Do your math, ask questions and go into it with your eyes open. Don't forget winter in southern Ontario means 9-10 hours of daylight, so you work from sunrise to sunset. I think it is better than flipping hamburgers or cleaning toilets but it is stressful.

Absolutely the poorest managed business out there.      Ridiculous hours worked, no work life balance.   Lack of communication to frontline workers, power hungry witches running the show.  Back stabbing,  gossiping & daily, hourly breaches of confidentiality.      If you want to work excessive hours, for zero appreciation and be treated like garbage work here.     Do not under any circumstances ask questions or push back when you know things are not right - you'll be kicked to the curb and told you don't fit the culture.    Warehouses are gross decrepited buildings that are an embarrassment.    Head office,  HR a& district manager are like ghosts - never seen or heard from.     

Manager in Calagary South and her puppet are nothing more than power hungry witches.     Wonder why her Calgary staff are refusing to show up to work...ask the manager a question and she will go weeks with no response.     Her puppet has loose lips and breaches confidentially daily.  Poor people skills and complete lack of professionalism.     Brokers and drivers are treated like garbage by these 2.     No respect for human beings.  

If the manager doesn't like you you'll find yourself working straight night shifts and she will not even consider accommodating you for things like spouses surgery or appointments.  NO WORK LIFE BALANCE.    Your phone will start ringing and beeping by about 5:30-6am and it doesn't stop until well after 9-10pm!    7 days a week.   They think $50 a month is fair repayment on your cell plan to compensate for this.   No station land lines so you have customers calling all times of day & night.   

You're better off begging on a street corner or  than to even consider joining this gong show.     Just don't do it - you'll regret every minute.   

By FAR the worst courier experience I have ever had the displeasure of participating in. The pay for parcels is way too low. The majority of them only pay a $1.50. You're not compensated AT ALL for your gas/travel. They contract these "Owner Operators" who in turn sub-contract you and take a cut of everything you do, leaving you with less than minimum wage by the end of your route. They get you into driving over multiple counties to complete a route some days, and the urban routes are littered with apartment buildings for which Intelcom has arranged NO EASY ACCESS (keys/buzzer codes) to, making for a VERY LONG day! So now you are at the mercy of the tenant and/or landlord to give you access to the buildings. Many times this is not possible and you do not get compensated for going to the places where you COULD NOT deliver your parcels. 

I've had many days where I had between 20 - 30 parcels that I was unable to deliver, and no compensation for driving to all these places. They also get upset with you for having so many undelivered, even though its out of your control.

But wait! There's more! Now you have to drive all these undelivered parcels back to the warehouse without any compensation for your gas/time/vehicle. 

I've worked for several courier companies in the past, and even the worst one's compensated your fuel. 

STAY AWAY FOLKS! THERE'S SO MANY MORE AND BETTER COURIER JOBS OUT THERE! LIKE ANY OTHER COMPANY... ANY AT ALL! PICK ONE IT WILL BE BETTER!

Intelcom has some great people but the lack of professionalism is very noticed the warehouse is very misorganized as well as manifests.. just unorganized in general.

The pay is decent until u break down everything and realize you make 15$ a hour if you get a terribly mapped out manifest then your lucky if u even make 11$ an hour... I’ve worked more 12-14 hr days then 4-8hr days like I was told it would be. Oh and it’s all paid by package so if you have 150 packages hopefully u can finish it in 8 hours to at least break minimum at $1.30 a package... oh and they only give you until 9pm to finish everything so if the warehouse is behind and you don’t get out until 11am or 12pm LOL good luck..

It’s 100% a job you accept well looking for another job or if you’re retired and just want something to do every now and then. unfortunately it’s not so much the people u work with and around its the mapping out of the manifests and knowing what your time is worth. 

One more thing if packages are damaged the supes at the warehouse usually don’t care for once u scan it into ur van scan they see it as your problem and responsibility you get rated by customers for the delivery and condition of the package so the warehouse doesn’t care cause it’s not their name under it sadly. It’s a selfish environment; but there are a few good people there.

This company is a joke. You don't actually work for Intelcom, you work for a broker, or at least that is who pays you. Your broker doesn't really have much control over anything. They just get a percentage of what you make on your route. Some brokers are better at paying on time than others. The CSR's or whatever you call them give you a route for the day when you show up in the morning. Sometimes you get a full route, sometimes you only get a half route. If your not in bright and early you may not even get a route because you came in late. They want you there at 6am, and then if you are really lucky your first few stops will be businesses that don't open for another 2 or 3 hours so you can waste time and gas and come back and try to deliver them again later on in your route.  They optimize all your routes for you and it is a joke. No thought given to the routes other than you have a starting point and a finish, doesn't matter if you can't easily turn into a location because of a boulevard or no left turns allowed, or if you have to constantly back track because of how the route has been designed. Drive one direction do a bunch of stops then circle back and drive 6-8 minutes to continue your route on the other side of the street where you were 10 minutes ago. They do a wonderful job of routing the route so that you have to keep making left turns on busy roads. Or cross a highway multiple times in a route. One of the worst companies I have had the displeasure of working for.

I've seen how the company is run, and how the teams are managed. I know how utterly unprofessional the work environment is, that employees are not paid adequately or on time, that proper tracking/delivery requirements are extremely slow to implement. People delivering on New-Brunswick provincial holidays but not Quebec ones (company based in quebec). The 'training' is a joke and the drivers are not properly screened or taught what to do, how to do it. Some managers in the south-east region of New-Brunswick are taking monetary revenge on ex employees, as reported by multiple drivers. Hope you like being on call 7 days a week, getting to the warehouse for 7am yet not be guaranteed a route that day, or being told you can only start delivering at noon. The pay isnt great for the amount of work required, the days can vary from 4hrs to 12 hrs. You get paid about 1.50$ per package delivered, but your routes will vary wildly. You are often required to drive up to 1 1/2hrs away from the city to do deliveries. No paid holidays, vacation time or benefits of any kind. You should expect not being paid on time (sometimes weeks late) and having to argue with a unresponsive manager over whatsapp. Overall, it's a very poor choice for a place to work. Not competently managed at all.
