What is the best part of working at the company?
The discount on chicken does little to make up for the draw backs of the bussiness

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Managment rarely knows whats going on. Every problem is treated as a personal matter or conflict of personality. Equipment is never available and there are many theives and few cameras

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Cold loud and dirty. Often with fine powders and little ppe. Youre often expected to work overtime while they preach good work/life balance. Hours are often short due to delivery errors and bad planning.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Im the only one on time and 3 guys from nights leave at 6:30 am
Then resupply the machines while providing raw materials
Check oil levels clean resupply
By 7 the actual people for the room might have shown up.

Continue doing the same while 2 others with THE SAME JOB AS ME STAND AROUND. (One hurt his sholder permenently and the other is just ki d of useless)

And i go home at random. Sometimes 10 am sometime 5pm often scoffed at for finishing early or praised for the day going poorly.

Theres usually some gaslighting in there for flavor as well.

I've worked at this company for many years and it is a very hard job which takes a toll on your body. The environment is fast paced and very physical. Repetitious and cold. It's dusty and loud. You're standing on concrete all day. It's shift work and in an industrial area so having a vehicle is a must.  This company offers a good benefit program for full-time employees. And for part-time employees who work a certain amount of hours in a year. Men seem to promote much faster than women at this company. Many good employees and a friendly work environment.

i have been working  here for over a year as a restricted part time! thought  i won't  last for a month or so, but at work  I always wanted to dig the 100% of me and to prove to the company  my worth that they would never ended up regretting  hiring me in the first place... i love my supervisors! great people ! and our lead hands are the best! have already build friendship with other colleagues.....just love this company! very  physical job but happy environment  and safe...

•    Repaired and carried out preventative maintenance on the boilers, refrigeration equipment (ammonia), emergency power and other related equipment of the facility
•    Performed mechanical maintenance, repairs and replacement duties related to the physical plant, buildings and equipment

Getting to know the people around me and to be familiar with them, everyone socializes with each other and it is a very nice community. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Some of the supervisors believe in misinformation carried onto them by fellow coworkers. It makes you very stressed.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Sociable so it makes you comfortable with the environment.

It was a typical factory job were you are placed on different lines depending on the day and pretty much just do the same task over and over again. I was there as a temp worker and was much younger then my colleges so I didn't really have much in common with them. This lead to most of my time being in silence for 8 hours which makes the day feel very long. The products are all frozen so you are also in the cold for your entire shift minus breaks

My day would start at 6.am and I would spend about 5 hours getting things ready for next day production and then would spend about 1 hours making sure that my stock would come in on time. I would spend the about 2 hours making labels for the production line. I worked with great people but my department was closed down as our plant was moved from Burnaby bc to langley bc. I loved my job.

Daily pm and emergency calls routines

Biweekly pay.  Refrigerated environment so must be able to handle the cold.  Sometimes done early or late, depending on supply and demand. Free coffee dispensing machine :)  Nice sales on bulk boxes of Chicken products.
