Pay is extremely low compared to average pay at other dealerships. I was paid more when I had no experience at another dealer. 

Wage is not liveable and micromanaging for this pay is insulting. 

The pay was very insulting, considering I came in with years of experience including management at another dealer. 

Telling me exactly what times to smoke? For $18/hr! The audacity of this place. Toronto dealerships are more relaxed and pay better. 

I got stuck in the snow, I literally couldn’t make it into work and you list my job on indeed. After I showed you videos of me physically stuck and unable to move in the middle of the road. 

You are just a number to this place, management does not care. You can tell people love to gossip and complain here. 

This dealer has a lot of potential but they are stuck in their ways. Focused on the wrong things. 

Very unfortunate experience and a waste of my time. I make more working for myself than I did here. 

No where in Toronto even starts work at 8am or pays 18/hr for this type of work. 

You get paid more with bonuses. Here they want bonuses to compensate what they should really be paying you. 

A liveable wage should be guaranteed if we are the heart of the dealership. 

MISLEADING DEALERSHIP 

I've worked at Jackson's for years. I've learned that you have to work hard and put in real effort to succeed with this company. Nothing wrong with that. Any self respecting employee should feel this way. You don't get anything for free in life, you work for it.
If you are a hard worker who wants to learn and grow and do a great job everyday this place is right for you. if you are a gossiper and you don't care about your own workmanship or customers then this is not the place for you.

Jackson's is a fun place to work, they have a great Christmas parties every year and they get birthday cakes and stuff and celebrate a lot. They buy us lunch every Saturday and they do  lot of nice things for the customers too. They are very serious about professionalism and above standard customer service. 

I have worked at a few dealerships now and I can honestly say this place is the best I have worked at and they are very committed to making customers happy and working with staff who share that same feeling. 

I'm proud of where I work and plan on staying with this company for a good long time just like many others. Its nice to work in a place where they don't tolerate staff who could care less about how good of a job they do and only show up for a paycheck.

At first all will seem okay. After a while management (General Manager) will occasionally lose it by yelling at you and using profanities. Not the way any person should be spoken to. Very unprofessional. The General Manager will tell you three things: 1: Don't steel. 2: Don't lie. 3: As long as you show devotion, we will work with you. All of these are hypocritical lies by him. They will terminate your employment without reason and not work with you, therefore lying to you and steeling your job from you. All 3 so-called values worth nothing. They are empty promises to say the least. Here are some numbers for you to consider to validate what I am saying. In the last 2 years they have had the following people quit or fired: 28 Sales Staff, 8 Sales Managers, 3 Service Managers, 12 Parts Staff, 16 Technicians. Instead of training and developing, they fire and re-hire. The average person there has only been there less than one year. Pathetic!

I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to be honest about my experience at Jackson’s Toyota as a Parts Advisor. I left a great job to join their team based on promises made by management during the hiring process—promises that were never followed through on.

From day one, it became clear that what I was sold in the interview was far from reality. The role, expectations, and overall work environment were misrepresented, and I quickly realized I had been misled. Despite my best efforts to adapt and contribute positively, the lack of transparency and professionalism made it impossible to feel valued or supported.

It’s disappointing to leave a solid position for what turned out to be an empty pitch. I hope management learns to be more upfront with future hires and values honesty in the hiring process

This was one of the worst jobs I ever had. The core group is amazing (on the floor people) but the management and owner are not. You will never get breaks, you will a majority of the time work 12-13 hour days. You will be expected to come on your day off. If you don't, you'll hear about it. All of this could be more or less ok if you felt even somewhat respected. The owner has a lot of issues - he is a miserable person who will snap at you and threaten your job, over small things. 

Youll work more than you get paid, to put it as simply as possible. There's high turnover here. Meetings consist of staff usually getting ripped apart regularly, keeping everyone on edge. I liked that I was given the opportunity to learn something new and I feel like that has been a positive. But I otherwise wholeheartedly regret spending as much time as I have here.


This specific place is ridiculous and its a headache working here. There is everything wrong with the place starting with the top tier management. The GM doesn't know that the business and himself are two different entities. The working machenism is a joke. So somethings you learn at this dealership,
1. Do your stats, sales is something which you can do afterwards but first preference should be STATS!!

2. Do no respect the customers as they are the one who need us, we dont need them.

I aint kidding,  this is the mentality which the management puts in their sales people's heads. The only reason they make money is because its a Toyota dealership. The place has potential to be a great place to work with a great team but greediness is all over in the blood. Good luck to whoever is gonna work at this place.

The management here will expect you to work like a machine. Management is horrible for many reasons. The GSM will make you feel horrible and talk behind your back to everyone, sharing information and rumours. He will make sure everyone hates each other by spreading gossip. He is on Youtube and Amazon all the time rather than working. They will expect you to work on your days off and they make it really hard to get vacation time and if you do they tease you for it. The managers barely know how to run the dealership. Leads are handed out unfairly and there’s no support for the team. There is no training process for new hires anymore. Long term employees barely do their daily work but will still get most of the good leads. 

I read all the reviews and even got this impression when I had my interview but decided I would still give it a shot, how bad could it be. I should have listened. The processes and procedures are extreme. The micromanagement here is on another level. As a technicians, PDIs are usually a quick way to make money, but here you are basically working for straight time. Everyone is watching you, and if you aren't doing things to their exact procedures you will be questioned and potentially fired. As if other technicians watching you all day isn't bad enough, management is constantly watching you on camera. Just not a fun environment to work in. Especially if you can think for yourself and like being independent. 

This place is a textbook example of a toxic work environment. Constant harassment  and micro managing, everyone is miserable, management pawns their responsibilities/blame onto others, and a very poor work life balance. The entire place is spinning in circles making constant changes in hopes something will magically fix their problems without truly looking within. I started  my time there with three  people on the same day, and after almost 6 months I was the last one remaining. Please let this review guide you away, it will be the best decision you’ve ever made. RUN!

I worked in detailing along with 2 others. The male detailer was my boss along with 2 other bosses and a female co worker that tried to be my boss as well. What a horrible place to work. It was the worse place ever. The owner has zero trust in there employees cameras every where. You could try to make suggestions and have one boss tell you how she likes that and the next day yell at you like a child. The way they detail cars lmao people should never take a car for a interior to a dealership. Dealership clean ups verses a true detailing shop, whole different ball game. Yet they charge more then a true detailing shop.
