Overall it's not a bad place to work. Like any company, there are a few bad apples, but most people are good to work with.  Benefits are just ok, not great. The pension plan should be offered sooner than 12 months employment, but it is nice to have a pension.  As a foreman, carpenter, or labourer it can be unclear how long you will be on a job for, and often you don't know where you are going from day to day which is very frustrating.  But that could be said about a lot of companies. Superintendent training is not the best. There is no consistency in regards to pay, company trucks, jobs for superintendents. What some supers are told from the office isn't what others are told. Again, the same could be said for other companies. Overall - decent pay, benefits, pension, and paid weekly, not bad

I started with Keller Construction Ltd. on October 1st of last year. I was a second year apprentice and coming from a residential background. Keller was very understanding that I did not have commercial experience and were completely understanding and upfront with expressing their willingness to integrate me into their team. 

Having only been with them for a little under a year, I have been to more than enough sites and met so many of the people who work here and all of them treat you with respect and are nothing but helpful, they really want to see you succeed. 

I’m lucky to have found my career choice only two years into my apprenticeship and am thankful I stumbled upon one of their ads.

What is the best part of working at the company?
It certainly wasn't the superintendents that they hire who are more worried about how they than a job well done

The arrogant immigrant supervisor. The smartest over "educated" idiot I've ever come across

A real nice what have you done for me lately work attitude. Company only cares for boot lickers

Very professional and the safety program is top notch. Good bunch of guys in the field to work with and the office staff are very knowledgeable and friendly

Most days are usually quite busy but plenty of help from coworkers

I have been really impressed with Keller Construction.  They have a great team that truly cares about the employees.  They have a high-performance culture of accountability which isn't for everyone but for those who want to learn, grow, and excel while being trusted and empowered within their areas of responsibility then this is the place for you.  Work/life balance isn't just talked about but it is actually lived.

If coming into the job you have a good work ethic, and want to do things right the first time, and a stable/ steady job then this is not it. To work here keep your mouth shut and toss all your dignity out the window. Management is garbage they treat most workers unfairly. Lay offs due to "work shortages" i. The summer when all construction is busy even for employees that have worked there way up. Half the supervisors dont have the experience or knowledge to properly run jobs, the list goes on and on. 

Enjoy the people and the work, chances for advancement are there. Great hours minimum 40 a week plus overtime and I get daily Perdiem’s which help out and the hotels they put you up in our good if you don’t like it you’ll change it without any problem. I had a medical issue to deal with and they got me home on time for it and kept me there for 10 days because I had other things to deal with as well so all around they are very good at taking care of their employees.
