I have been given many opportunities to train in new areas and advance my skill set, while still able to perform the core duties of my role. My manager provided me with challenges that were within my abilities and would offer more if I asked. I was given realistic timelines for task completion and had both managerial and co-worker support if I was struggling with these timelines. The staff are always friendly to one another, frequently sharing jokes and friendly banter, and I actually enjoy coming in to work. As with any job, there are rough days and stressful days, but these are well balanced with a positive work culture and a managerial staff that is willing to listen. The open door policy of Management makes it easy to come forward with concerns and better understand the reasoning behind decision-making. I enjoy working for Loraas because the employees are viewed as people with needs and wants, not just as cogs in a machine.

I work 10 hrs for four days per week. Our work is tiresome and I enjoy working with my co workers. I always have fun working and talking with them. I learn how to work in lower level because back in the Philippines I have a very good job and earning well. Our top management are approachable, reliable and concern on our work needs.

The hardest part of the job is when the materials passing on conveyor belt is mixed with lots of garbage like needles, diapers and dead animals which is not supposed to be in Loraas Recycle because those are garbage and not recyclable.

The most enjoyable part of the job when we found valuable items like money, watch, electronic items and others.

I highly recommend Loraas to friends if there is job demand although I am looking for a job that is related to my work experience back in the Philippines as Civil Engineer by profession.

I was hired as a sorter and in a few years became a team leader. Hesitant at first  to step up for a bigger role but with the support of my manager and my supervisors  the transition runs smoothly.
This company ensure the safety of everyone by having tool box meeting regularly and I myself have attended safety measure seminar and first aid. They offer competitive wages, incentives, bonuses and medical benefits. Work balance life. We have social activities annually to promote social wellness.
The manager knows his job very well. Very understanding, considerate, family oriented and always there to attend our needs. Same as with our supervisor, good and very hardworking and always there for us to look after our concerns.
It's a great place to work with diversity. You help save planet earth and if you're lucky you can find some treasure here.

Used to be a good place to work. Until they let to many power hungry people in the operations staff. When you first start there you feel welcomed and almost praised for your work, but when you back off a little bit after they try to work all your energy off,, they frown on you and you end up pushin broom until they need a asap call done. No they don't lay off their workers, so when its slow you just do "job creation" (as per operations) jobs like pick garbage around the yard and sweep floors around the shop. Or they just fire you if they feel its time to part ways. That all being said, the fellow drivers you work with and the mechanics you deal with are great guys, if you can ignore the other politics you might even enjoy working there.

They like to show off a good well run company by always having the trucks clean but they treat all their workers like garbage. The management is two faced and will tell you whatever lies to get away from doing anything properly or fairly. They pick favorites based on how much a person brown noses to them. They don't pay overtime and they dispose of all the paperwork that gets handed in and they replace it with their own version. The brown nosers get away with smashing trucks and equipment up but if they don't like a person they will fire them. They like to fire people without notice. They don't like if the worker questions how they do things. Worst company I have ever worked for. If you are reading this, run away! Seriously.

Poor management with barely any experience in operation of equipment. No advancement unless your a good butt kisser. You never know if your going to be fired on the Fri. Equipment is bandaid together. Send out trucks to breakdown with same problem. Treated as a number easily replaced. They talk up the company make it look good but all a big lie. Not worth working for in Northbattleford. Management will cover there own butt and fire employees to make them look good. Equipment is no good.

Working in summer , as you are working with coveralls and the only thing that helps with the heat is a weak air coming from the air duct, winter is living nightmare, as the plant only uses electric light heater while the working place is not centralized and every station you work is seperate , Working in summer as in recycling plant is very bad people throw anything in recycling , dead animals , cat, duck , diapers, even waste from hospitals lots of needles, food waste, very bad smell, this is the only job you need if you have last resort , do not work here , 

Management will have meetings of how to do things in the warehouse one day then change their minds the next day and not tell you. If the girl that works in the warehouse doesn't like you..you'll be fired the next day. They don't want to pay you what your worth and they'll find a B.S reason not to pay you. One White hat will tell you one thing then another one will tell you something else. Management will blow smoke up your but and tell you how great you are and how much they like your work....then can you the next day for someone cheaper.

Good employees to work with. Management not so much. High turn over at Loraas

Management is hard to work with.  Some upper management are backstabbers.

People worked with were good. Easy to get along with and helpful

Like I said the people that I worked with were good. Some of the managers were not.

No pressure or time limits. Friendly environment. Free courses.

There is not a stressful part for me.

It is pretty good. You can work in your rhythm.
